Turn your thermostat down and wear a sweater
On Friday 5 February, TU Delft will turn its thermostats down by one degree in all university buildings. Once again we are participating in the national Warm Jumper Day and, as a result, will save a considerable amount of energy and CO2 emissions. So make sure to dress warm this Friday.
In some of our buildings, the temperature cannot be adjusted centrally or a constant temperature is required for research purposes. But don’t worry, you can still participate: just turn the radiator in your own room down a notch and contribute to this energy-saving green initiative.
The Dutch Climate Alliance organizes the national Greenchoice Warm Jumper Day every year on 5 February. So many organizations now participate in this campaign that, in a single day, enough energy is saved to supply the Wadden Islands of Vlieland, Terschelling and Schiermonnikoog with energy for a whole year!
