We are looking for new Introduction Programme coaches: 

Specifically, we’re looking for you. Because you are:

  • a team player
  • with a positive working attitude
  • with a strong sense of responsibility
  • interested in creating an amazing start for new international students
  • available in August 2017, and for some training days in May and June

 

The 2-week Introduction Programme is organised by the Central International Office (CIO), to welcome all new international students to TU Delft (nearly 2000 in Summer 2016). Students learn about the academic culture and student life at TU Delft, while meeting their new peers from around the world.  It is an intense, fast-paced and fun 2 weeks to give all the new students the best start to their studies in Delft.  Your contribution is most valuable.

Who?

80 TU Delft students (Dutch and internationals) are selected and trained to become fun, professional and responsible coaches to guide and support the new students during the Introduction Programme. Coaches mentor the new students during the programme and are the first point of contact.

You have to be flexible and show initiative in taking roles in many different programme elements, to help the whole event run smoothly.

We expect you to have a positive working attitude, a strong sense of responsibility, to be a team player, to have genuine interest in the well-being of new international students, to have knowledge of the educational system of the TU Delft, and to be enthusiastic about showing Delft and its educational environment to new students.

When?

The Introduction Programme will take place between 19 August  – 1 September 2017. You must be available for this whole period as well as the 3 trainings on 16 May, 6 June and 18 August 2017. Active participation in all three trainings is absolutely mandatory to be accepted as a coach.  

 To have a chance of being selected, you need to attend one of the assessment days on 24 and 25 April.
