United Netherlands is recruiting Diplomats

Have you ever wondered why the world spends 50 times as much on weapons as on the United Nations budget? Or why one fifth of the world population still lives on less than one dollar a day? Are you ready to tackle world issues with students from around the globe?

Then join the 2018|2019 delegation!

Every year United Netherlands organizes the 10 EC course ‘United Nations and Multilateral Diplomacy’ for a selected group of 30 students. The purpose: to learn about the United Nations and International Diplomacy, in theory and practice.

In 20 weeks members of the delegation (‘delegates’) prepare to participate in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences at Oxford and Harvard. Every week they receive lectures from experts in  all fields related to International Affairs. These are complemented with trainings in skills that are valuable for a lifetime, such as public speaking and negotiation and lobbying.

Don’t hesitate to apply! The course is open to students from all academic backgrounds. In fact, organization recognizes the power of fresh, multidisciplinary perspectives. They are looking for ambition, diversity and a touch of idealism.

The only requirement is that you are enrolled in a Dutch university for the academic year 2018|2019. International students are more than welcome.

The application deadline is mid-May.  For more information on the selection process please see
