WANTED: Coaches for the Introduction Programme 2014
Every year 50 TU Delft students are selected and trained to become fun, professional and responsible coaches who guide and support the new students during the Introduction Programme. Coaches are expected to mentor the students during the mandatory activities and optionally fulfil other, specialized roles in the rest of the Introduction Programme.
The Introduction Programme is a 2-week compulsory programme (15-28 August) for all international students who are about to begin their studies at the TU Delft. Since its initiation in 2008 it has enjoyed a growing success and welcomed a record number of 977 students in summer 2013. The Introduction Programme is designed to get students acquainted with the academic culture of TU Delft, the city of Delft and The Netherlands in general. At the same time they meet their new peers from around the world. The Introduction Programme contains all the necessary ingredients to ensure that new international students enjoy a great start of their studies in Delft.
During the Introduction Programme we offer a mix of mandatory and voluntary activities, as well as various formal services. The central meeting point of the programme is the Survival Café, the main meeting point, a continuous hive of activity, information point, and the place to get drinks and snacks.
