Alert Online: weet wat je doet!

In Nederland zijn we steeds vaker en langer online. Op het werk, op school, thuis of onderweg. Met onze telefoon, tablet of computer. Gelukkig zijn we ons steeds meer bewust dat dit risico’s met zich meebrengt. Zo kunnen we met één muisklik onbedoeld onze eigen computer of zelfs een heel netwerk besmetten. Of creditcardgegevens uit handen geven aan criminelen. Recent in het nieuws was de grote hack waarbij Russische criminelen ruim een miljard inloggegevens, waaronder 1,3 miljoen e-mailadressen eindigende op .nl, hebben weten te bemachtigen. Alert zijn op de risico’s is dus belangrijk.

Maar weten we ook wat we kunnen doen om de risico’s te verminderen? Van 27 oktober tot en met 6 november 2014 organiseert de Nationaal Coördinator Terrorismebestrijding en Veiligheid (NCTV) voor de derde keer de landelijke campagne Alert Online. Alert Online, een gezamenlijk initiatief van overheid, bedrijfsleven en wetenschap helpt om de kennis over online veiligheid te vergroten. Op security.tudelft.nl vind je onder het menu Werk Veilig onder andere campagnefilmpjes en tips en tricks om veilig online te kunnen blijven.

Alert Online: know what you’re doing!

In the Netherlands, people are online more often and for longer periods than ever before. At work, at school, at home or en route, using our cell phones, tablets or computers. Fortunately, people are becoming increasingly aware of the associated risks. We know that with a simple mouse-click, we could accidentally infect our computer or even an entire network or give criminals our credit card details. Recently in the news was the major hacking incident in which Russian criminals stole over a billion internet login credentials, including 1.3 million e-mail addresses ending in .nl. So it is very important to be aware of the risks.

But, do we know what we can do to minimise risks? From 27 October to 6 November 2014 the National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism (NCTV) will be hosting the campaign Alert Online, for the third consecutive year. Alert Online is a joint initiative of the government, the business community and the world of science to help increase knowledge about online security. Fly around the world without hassle, passenger-based travel and pilot-based flying. What will flying be like in 2020 if modern media are fully integrated and used? What if we start using personalized, individual real time data, instead of predictions based on big data?

The question is how YOU would design aviation if no strings were attached.
Meet people from the industry, gather information and inspire with your ideas!

Work in a multidisciplinary team of enthusiastic students and graduates to develop a proof of concept of your combined vision, to be presented in many fora, such as Directors team of the industry. The challenge will last for the entire second period (starting 10-11-2014 and ending at 08-02-2015) and will require at least 2 days a week of work.

Vlieg de wereld over zonder problemen, passagiers-gebaseerd vervoer en piloot-gebaseerd vliegen. Hoe is vliegen in 2020 als moderne media volledig zijn geïntegreerd en volop worden gebruikt? Wat als gepersonaliseerde individuele actuele data worden gebruikt in plaats van voorspellingen op basis van big data?

De vraag is hoe JIJ de toekomst van de luchtvaart zou ontwerpen als er geen limieten zijn.
Ontmoet mensen uit de industrie, verzamel informatie en inspireer met je ideeën!

Werk in een divers team van enthousiaste studenten en afgestudeerden om een proof-of-concept te ontwerpen van jullie combineerde visie, die gepresenteerd wordt op verschillende fora, zoals het Directors team van de industrie. Dit project loopt gedurende de gehele tweede periode (startend op 10 november tot 8 februari) en vereist minstens twee dagen per week aan inzet.

Bachelorstudenten kunnen tijdens de tentamenperiode in de centrale bibliotheek gratis hulp krijgen bij hun wiskunde- en mechanicasommen.
Vanuit huis kunnen ook vragen gesteld worden via Blackboard IM (helpdesk Maths & Mechanics). Blackboard IM is de Instant Message-applicatie van de TU Delft en is standaard links onderin je Blackboard startpagina te vinden.

Wat zijn de mogelijkheden voor het realiseren van een duurzame campus? Bezoek de inspirerende lezingen van dit symposium en hoor wat er kan worden gedaan en welke visie de TU Delft hierop heeft. Na de lezing kun je je ideeën delen in een workshop en een bezoek brengen aan de Groene Markt, waar je kennis kunt maken met de studenten die betrokken zijn bij de ‘Sustainability Community’ én waar verschillende ecologische snacks te proeven zijn.
