A guilt-free 15-minute break from studying

fighting procrastination concept - do it phrase on color sticky notes posted on a cork bulletin board

You should be studying for your exams, but suddenly you find all those useful jobs that can’t wait any longer. Or you click on interesting articles you come across.

You’re doing it right now.

Instead of studying, you are suddenly doing your dishes from two weeks ago, or cleaning up your desk. This is actually completely rational behaviour. Instead of studying, which takes long to complete and to feel satisfied for, you choose short-term tasks that give you satisfaction right away. If you’re interested, papers are written on this topic.

Well, now you’re here you might as well do something useful. Our neighbours in Germany are conducting research on the interest in drug use for the enhancement of the functionalities of the brain. So, brainpills. Their quest is to find out whether students feel every student should have access to medicine to study more effectively. The research focusses on the differences in Dutch and German students in this respect. They need as many students as possible and the researcher would be happy with your help.

Now you know filling in this survey will give you satisfaction quicker than studying, the easiest answer is yes! Find the survey here.

After this, get back to studying!
