Verkiezingen leden studentenraad op instellings- en facultair niveau
De Verkiezingscommissie maakt hierbij de kandidaten voor de verkiezingen op 23 en 24 mei 2018 van de leden van de studentenraad op instellingsniveau en facultair niveau bekend. De kandidaten die zich verkiesbaar hebben gesteld introduceren zichzelf op https://stem.tudelft.nl/
Tegen de geldigheid van de kandidatenlijst kan tot donderdag 3 mei 2018 17:00 uur bezwaar worden ingediend. Indien er geen bezwaarschriften zijn ingediend, zullen de kandidatenlijsten op 4 mei 2018 onaantastbaar zijn. Bezwaarschriften kunnen ingediend worden bij de Verkiezingscommissie via JZ@tudelft.nl

Elections members of the Student Council at institutional and faculty level
The Central Election Committee makes known the candidates for the elections for the university’s Student Council at institutional and faculty level on the 23rd and 24rd of May 2018.
Candidates who join the elections introduce themselves at https://stem.tudelft.nl/
A formal objection pertaining to the validity of the candidate lists can be submitted in writing, to the election committee until 5.00 p.m. on Thursday the 3rd of May 2018. If no formal objections are received then the results will be made irreversible on the 4th of May 2018. Formal objections can be submitted via JZ@tudelft.nl
Remember to deregister when you graduate
Finished with your (re-sit) exams and waiting for the results? Then you should know that your registration at TU Delft will not be terminated automatically when you are graduated. When you are graduating, you should file a request for deregistration during the month of graduation. You do not have to wait until graduation; you may submit the request as soon as you can, preferably even a couple of weeks prior to your graduation date. You pay tuition fees up to and including the last month of your registration. Retroactive deregistration is not allowed
So, have you passed your exams and are you officially done studying? Time to deregister and celebrate! Visit the CSA website for more information regarding deregistration and/or a possible refund of tuition fees.
If you terminate your enrolment as of 1 July or 1 August you will not be entitled to a refund. For more information, click here.
LinkedIn photo-booth @ Minor Event 10/04
Upcoming Tuesday (10 April 2018) the TU Delft minor event will take place in the Aula. Integrand, an academic internship mediator, will have a booth on the ‘info market’ where they can help improve your Curriculum Vitae (C.V.).

- If you bring a printed version of your C.V. the board will check it and give you tips & tricks on how you could improve.

United Netherlands is recruiting Diplomats
Have you ever wondered why the world spends 50 times as much on weapons as on the United Nations budget? Or why one fifth of the world population still lives on less than one dollar a day? Are you ready to tackle world issues with students from around the globe?
Then join the 2018|2019 delegation!
Every year United Netherlands organizes the 10 EC course ‘United Nations and Multilateral Diplomacy’ for a selected group of 30 students. The purpose: to learn about the United Nations and International Diplomacy, in theory and practice.
In 20 weeks members of the delegation (‘delegates’) prepare to participate in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences at Oxford and Harvard. Every week they receive lectures from experts in all fields related to International Affairs. These are complemented with trainings in skills that are valuable for a lifetime, such as public speaking and negotiation and lobbying.
Don’t hesitate to apply! The course is open to students from all academic backgrounds. In fact, organization recognizes the power of fresh, multidisciplinary perspectives. They are looking for ambition, diversity and a touch of idealism.
The only requirement is that you are enrolled in a Dutch university for the academic year 2018|2019. International students are more than welcome.

Learn how to Speak in Public!
Do you want to improve your public speaking skills?
Do you want to be able to amaze the crowds?
Do you want to find out how you come across when you’re standing in front of a group?
Or do you want to get rid of that fear of doing a presentation and speaking in public?
Then take part in our Public Speaking program!

In the course of five training sessions you will be provided with a solid basis in the art of public speaking. You will get acquainted with a variety of public speaking styles, learn the theory behind effective public speaking and increase your performance as a public speaker in challenging exercises. The training sessions take place from 18:30 till 22:00 in every city*. Upon successfully completing the course, you will get an official United Netherlands Public Speaking Program Certificate!
Each training will focus on a different area of public speaking as well as combine theory and practice to improve the participant’s skills at every level. The sessions focus on areas such as body language, use of voice, speech writing and framing while practicing presenting, debating and presenting a speech. By focusing on the individual goals of our participants, in combination with the challenging nature of a receptive and reflective group, participants of all levels are able to increase their performance. Aside from in-class training sessions, participants will also receive small homework assignments, such as preparing a short speech in advance.
The fee of €85 covers all five sessions and includes 21% VAT.
*Our Public Speaking Program will take place in the following cities: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, The Hague, Groningen, Nijmegen, Tilburg, Wageningen, Leiden and Maastricht.

Student accommodation survey: fill in and win!
Student housing providers are conducting a survey to find out how many students will be studying where in the coming years and how these students want to live. This is your chance to speak up on cost, quality or safety!
If you really want to change something about the housing for students, then please cooperate with this survey using your computer or smartphone.
As an added bonus: city trips to a destination of your own choosing (worth 400 euros) will be raffled among participants of the survey.
The questionnaire will remain active up to April 30. After the summer the result will become available on the website www.wonenalsstudent.nl
‘Mijn Duo’ unavailable in April
DUO is working on improving her services and is going to implement a new system for student loans (studiefinanciering/stufi). This means you’ll be able to view and change your loans more efficiently in the future!
Starting on Thursday 29 March 18:00 till 1 May (read: the entire month of April) they will be working on rebuilding the site; you will not be able to change, view or request student loans during this time!
Your monthly loans, however, will continue to be paid!
So, if you want to change/view anything concerning student loans; do this before March 29th!
