SR and FSR elections

The electing of members of the Student Council (SR) and Student Councils at faculty level (FSR) will take place online via website https://stem.tudelft.nl on Tuesday 21 May 2019 from 8.00 a.m. and Wednesday 22 May 2019 until 5.00 p.m.

Consulting the electoral registers

Both the electoral registers for the FSR elections and the SR can be looked into from 14 March 2019 online via website https://stem.tudelft.nl.

Interested parties may lodge objections with the Executive Board via JZ@tudelft.nl until one week after the names have been announced.

Submission of candidate lists SR and FSR

Candidate lists may be submitted to the Student Council (SR) at institution level and to the Student Council (FSR) at faculty level from 11 March 2019 until 25 March 2019 5.00 p.m.

Attention:

Every student who is entitled to vote can nominate himself for the Student Council (SR) and Student Councils at faculty level (FSR). The nomination will take place as follows. To take part in the elections you have to hand in a candidate list to the secretary of the election committee. The candidate list must be supported by at least 10 persons who are eligible to vote for the Student Council (SR) and by at least 5 persons who are entitled to vote for the Student Councils at faculty level (FSR). Every candidate has to fill in a written declaration, in which he/she accepts his/her nomination on the candidate list.

The candidate proposition forms may be obtained as of 11 March 2019 from the relevant central or facultative election committee (see overview below) as below. The deadline for the submission of the candidate list is 25 March 2019 5.00 p.m. To ensure that the checking and processing of the candidate lists goes smoothly the election committee requests that the lists of candidates be handed in preferably before the final date.

The candidate lists (together with the candidates’ declarations of consent) for the SR must be personally handed in to the Central Election Committee’s office on the 5th floor of the Faculty Civil Engineering, Stevinweg 1, room 5.10 or 5.16

The candidate lists (together with the candidates’ declarations of consent) for the FSR must be personally handed in to the relevant faculty election committee (see the overview below). Dated proof of receipt will be issued to those who submit the lists.

New service for sending files: SURFfilesender

Within TU Delft, SURFfilesender replaces WeTransfer as a service for sending large files.

With SURFfilesender you can send and receive very large files safely and AVG proof via your web browser, without installation or plug-ins. The files can be larger than when sending via WeTransfer, e-mail or FTP, up to 500 GB. SURFfilesender is also suitable for smaller files, such as (confidential) reports. SURFfilesender works exactly the same as WeTransfer. www.surffilesender.nl

SURFfilesender is offered by SURF and is free for students and emplyees of the TU Delft. You can also invite external parties to use SURFfilesender.

Grand Opening VR Zone – Library

Do you want to experience or learn how to build Virtual or Augmented Reality? Or do you want to experiment with VR and AR in education or science? You will be able to do all of this in the VR Zone at the TU Delft Library.

The VR Zone will be festively opened by Vice Rector Magnificus Professor Rob Mudde and the Student Council on Tuesday, 26 February, from 16:00 till 19:00. Please register here for attendance. Experience the immersive impact, understand the historical context of VR at this university and meet a different world. All of this while having a snack and a drink at the grand opening of the VR Zone in the TU Delft Library.

What to expect in the VR Zone?
The VR Zone has a dedicated staff to help students, lecturers and researchers build VR/AR and is equipped with more than ten state of the art headsets and workstations with all the required software installed.

For whom?
Students from TU Delft can use these facilities and support for graduation or other educational projects free of charge on a reservation basis. Lecturers and researchers can experiment with the numerous possibilities of VR and AR free of charge. They can also order dedicated VR/AR content for their own education or research or request a workshop or VR class to learn how to make their own content at a friendly hourly rate.

Don’t forget to unenrol after the final part of your study

Have you completed the final part of your study? Please be aware that you need to send a request to terminate your enrolment as it will not be done automatically. Tuition fees need to be paid up to and including the last month of your enrolment. Enrolment termination with retroactive effect is not possible.

Elections to the Student Council and Faculty Student Councils

Het College van Bestuur maakt het volgende bekend: De verkiezingen van de leden van de Studentenraad (SR) en de Facultaire Studentenraden (FSR) vinden  plaats via het internet op dinsdag 21 mei en woensdag 22 mei 2019. De verkiezingen vangen aan op dinsdag 21 mei 2019 om 8:00 uur en eindigen op woensdag 22 mei 2019 om 17:00 uur.

Het College heeft voor de organisatie van de verkiezingen het onderstaande tijdschema vastgesteld. De deadline voor het indienen van de kandidatenlijsten is maandag 25 maart 2019 om 17:00 uur.
