179th Dies Natalis – Week of resilience

Today marks the start of the Week of Resilience, the week in which we celebrate our 179th Dies Natalis and everyone is invited. We believe the answer to safeguarding the future of our next generations lies in Resilience, a force for good we have proven to possess in abundance while dealing with the current crisis.

Go to tudelft.nl >> 179th diesnatalis for the full programme.

Check here the new year message where Rob Mudde invites all students to join the Dies Natalis

Programme:

– From Monday to Thursday there will be showcases and inspiration pre-recorded video contributions on virtual ‘Tables of Inspiration’ alongside a dedicated radio broadcast on @bnrnieuwsradio.

– On Friday we will conclude our celebrations at 16:00 with an online live event about Resilience, moderated by @artrooijakkers.

Internships and research projects abroad cancelled

Due to the great uncertainty surrounding the development and spread of the COVID-19 virus worldwide, and being no longer able to fall back on government and business travel insurance in the event of repatriation, (graduation) internships and research projects abroad are not allowed until 1 September 2021. This decision based on the current corona pandemic situation will be reviewed at the beginning of May 2021.

Faculties can allow exceptions for countries with the travel advice colour codes yellow and green, if there is no alternative in The Netherlands and the consequences of cancelling are disproportionate. Currently, no permission will be granted to go to countries with colour codes orange and red. For more information, check your faculty’s Brightspace regarding internships and the guidelines the faculties have drawn up regarding this matter.

Travel is at your own risk.
Following the modified Dutch government policy to no longer repatriate citizens in the event of a lockdown, any additional costs incurred and/or any further consequences, such as a delay to the study programme, are the student’s own responsibility.
