Want to talk together and share emotions about the situation in Ukraine? We are opening our Living Room tonight.
What was feared for months has become reality. We want to offer a safe space for sharing thoughts and emotions about the current situation in Ukraine.
Tonight from 20.00 – 22.00, we open the doors of our Living Room to come together and share. You can just walk in if and when you want. We will make sure there is hot chocolate, to warm you hearts, even just for a moment.
If you would like to talk more about this, know that you can talk to your study advisor or the student physiologist. There will be more staff available this coming week.

International Women’s Day 8 March, sign up for the panel dialogue
8 March is International Women’s Day. On this day, worldwide attention is asked for emancipation and women’s rights. In the Netherlands, and at TU Delft, this day is focused on solidarity with women. On 8 March, together with colleagues and students, we will go into this theme. You can sign up for a Panel dialogue with performance act from 16:00 – 18:00. During this panel dialogue we will examine the importance of solidarity together with the panelists and the audience. What does solidarity mean to you? What are your experiences and ideas on how to show solidarity with women at TU Delft? Discover the challenges and opportunities for achieving gender equality at TU Delft through the lens of solidarity.

TU Alert: campus to close at 12.30 / campus sluit om 12:30 uur
Due to storm Eunice, the TU Delft campus will close today at 12:30 pm. All on-campus education will be cancelled and buildings will switch to an evening or weekend schedule. This is because of the risk of damage, injury or considerable inconvenience.
Also, with the early closure we want to enable students and staff to travel home safely. Earlier today it was announced that NS will not be running any trains after 2pm.
The safety of our students and staff is paramount. If you live on campus or are required to be on campus, please be alert and careful.
———————————————————————————–

Fuel for thought: treat to mark the anniversary
We have been celebrating our 180th anniversary since 14 January. As you know, ‘speeding up the energy transition’ is the theme for our anniversary activities. And as a birthday treat, we’re offering staff and students some ‘fuel for thought’ to give them an energy boost to help speed up the energy transition. You can pick up this tasty encouragement in the form of vegan energy bars at the various service desks on campus (while stocks last).

Corona update as of 18 February
Zie beneden voor Nederlands
We are very pleased to announce that the press conference of February 15th let us know that, as of February the 18th 2022, the necessary relaxation of the corona measures will take place.
- It is important to stay at home and to get tested if you have symptoms, even if they are mild. Even if you have no symptoms, you are advised to use the (voluntary) free self-tests. Always get tested at the Municiple Health Services if your test result is positive. See what to do in case of infection of yourself or the people around you here.
- There is no longer a maximum group size as of February 18th. We advise you to keep a close eye on Brigthspace to see how this works out for education in the various subjects.
- Wearing a mask is still mandatory until the 25th of February 2022. Wear a disposable face mask in the educational buildings when moving between educational activities and when sitting or standing somewhere and a distance of 1.5 metres cannot be maintained, regardless of whether you are inside or outside. This does not apply to certain practicals and in laboratories where a face mask is not permitted due to fire safety reasons;
- The basic rules of the government remain in force: wash your hands frequently and thoroughly, do not shake hands and sneeze and cough into your elbow. Keep 1.5 metres distance. Make sure there is enough fresh air. Wear a mouth mask where necessary and wear it in places where it is busy. Give each other space;
- Do the Quarantine Check and follow the quarantine guidelines.
Keep an eye on Brightspace and this website for updates.

Op 15 februari werd tijdens de persconferentie bekend dat we met ingang van vrijdag 18 februari 2022 de nodige versoepelingen kunnen doorvoeren. Ook binnen het onderwijs. Daar zijn we ontzettend blij mee. Belangrijk blijft:
- Blijf thuis als je klachten hebt en laat je testen, ook bij milde klachten. Ook als je geen klachten hebt, word je aangeraden om gebruik te maken van (vrijwillige) gratis zelftesten. Laat je bij een positieve uitslag altijd testen bij de GGD. Zie hier wat te doen in geval van besmetting van jezelf of mensen om je heen;
- Er is geen maximale groepsgrootte meer vanaf 18 february 2022. We adviseren je om Brigthspace goed in de gaten te houden hoe dit uitwerkt voor het onderwijs in de verschillende vakken;
- Het dragen van een mondkapje is verplicht tot 25 februari 2022. Draag tot dan een wegwerpmondkapje in de onderwijsgebouwen wanneer je je tussen onderwijsactiviteiten verplaatst en wanneer je ergens zit of staat en je geen 1,5 meter afstand kan houden, ongeacht of je binnen of buiten bent. Dit geldt niet voor bepaalde practica en in laboratoria waar juist een mondkapje in verband met de brandveiligheid niet op mag;
- De basis regels van de overheid blijven van kracht: was vaak en goed je handen, schud geen handen en nies en hoest in je elleboog. Houd 1,5 meter afstand. Zorg voor voldoende frisse lucht. Draag een mondkapje waar het moet en waar het druk is. Geef elkaar de ruimte;
- Doe de Quarantaine Check en volg de quarantaine richtlijnen.
Houd Brightspace en deze website in de gaten voor updates.

It works for me! Instagram series on Positive Routines – My Wellness Check
“If it works for other students, it might work for you as well” is the philosophy behind the series on positive routines that study associations share in their Instagram stories.
Positive routines reported in the My Wellness Check survey on student wellbeing were collected and will be given back to the community once a week in 4 episodes/topics: motivation, focus, organisation and balance. The aim is to inspire students to engage in positive activities, ultimately improving their wellbeing.
Thank you to the study associations and to all students who shared their routines.
This series is part of the initiatives promoted by the TU Delft Study Climate Program.
To take part in this initiative, share the Instagram stories as a study association, or receive more information, contact s.fonda@tudelft.nl
