Recordings were recently made on the TU Delft campus for the TV programme ‘The Heroes of Education’. This programme consists of a series of four episodes in which students and teachers are followed. The series is all about education: from primary to university education in which you are taken through the work in education and see what a teacher/lecturer means to a pupil/student. In the episode at TU Delft, we see lecturers Rolf Hut (Associate Professor Water Resources) and Calvin Rans (Associate Professor Aerospace Structures and Materials) being an inspiration to their students. Watch the episode on Sunday 22 January at 15.30 on SBS6. The repeat can be seen on Saturday 28 January at 10.30 am on SBS6 and at 17.50 pm on SBS9.

De Helden van het Onderwijs

Onlangs zijn er opnames gemaakt op de campus van TU Delft voor het tv-programma ‘De Helden van het Onderwijs’. Dit programma bestaat uit een reeks van 4 afleveringen waarin studenten en docenten worden gevolgd. De serie staat volledig in het teken van het onderwijs: van primair t/m wetenschappelijk onderwijs waarin je wordt meegenomen in het werken in het onderwijs en zien we wat een docent betekent voor een leerling/student. In de aflevering bij TU Delft zien we dat docenten Rolf Hut (hoofddocent Water Resources) en Calvin Rans (hoofddocent Aerospace Structures and Materials) een inspiratie zijn voor hun studenten. Bekijk de aflevering op zondag 22 januari om 15.30 uur bij SBS6. De herhaling is te zien op zaterdag 28 januari om 10.30 uur bij SBS6 en om 16.50 uur bij SBS9.

Take part in the National Student Survey 2023!

This week the National Student Survey (NSE) is kicking off! An invite will be sent to your student email.

The TU Delft would like to know if you are satisfied with the education programme you’re currently pursuing. The NSE results give us insight into the quality of our education. Your input, together with that of over 800.000 other students, will also be used to inform prospective students on their future study choice.

To make it even more fun, the NSE is giving away some really great prizes! So what are you waiting for? Check your email, fill in the survey and let your voice be heard! You can fill in the survey until 13 March 2023.

Doe mee aan de Nationale Studenten Enquête van 2023!

Deze week gaat de Nationale Studenten Enquete (NSE) van start! Je krijgt hiervoor een oproep binnen op je studentmail account.

De TU Delft wil graag weten of je tevreden bent over je opleiding. De NSE-resultaten geven ons inzicht over de kwaliteit van ons onderwijs. Ook wordt jouw mening samen met die van ruim 800.000 andere studenten gebruikt voor landelijke studiekeuzevoorlichting.

Om het nog leuker te maken, maak je kans op mooie prijzen! Dus waar wacht je nog op? Ga naar je mail, vul de enquête in en laat je stem horen! Invullen kan tot en met 13 maart 2023.

An ICT maintenance weekend is scheduled on 21-22 January.

This whole weekend we are working on several applications, updates on servers and databases and updates on the network devices. The maintenance starts on 6h30 AM on Saturday morning and continues until the evening. We ask for understanding for any inconvenience.  

The network, both wireless and fixed, and all basic services including printing, cash registers and pin systems, lockers, coffee and vending machines are available. The access to the buildings and their facilities is as usual during the weekend.

Op 21-22 januari staat een ICT-onderhoudsweekend gepland. Dit gehele weekend wordt gewerkt aan diverse applicaties, updates op servers en databases en updates op de netwerkapparatuur. Het onderhoud start om 6.30 uur op zaterdagochtend en loopt door tot de avond. Wij vragen begrip voor eventuele overlast.

Het netwerk, zowel draadloos als vast, en basisdiensten waaronder printen, kassa’s en pinsystemen, lockers, koffie- en snoepautomaten zijn gewoon beschikbaar. De toegang tot de gebouwen en hun faciliteiten zijn hetzelfde als elk weekend.

Voor vragen over het onderhoudsweekend kun je contact opnemen met het Servicepunt in jouw gebouw. Wil je op de hoogte blijven van alle onderhoudswerkzaamheden en mogelijke storingen, kijk dan op Meldingen ICT, onder het tabblad ‘Onderhoud’.

As you know, sustainability is a high priority at TU Delft. Not only in education, research and valorisation, but also on our own campus. By 2030 we want to be CO2 neutral, climate adaptive and circular. To achieve that, we also need your help. Let’s try and stop using disposable cutlery altogether in the new year! To facilitate this, and because it is our university’s birthday in January, we are offering all staff and students a free reusable cutlery set.

In the spirit of sustainability, these cutlery sets will not be sent by mail, but can be picked up at 13 Servicedesks across campus from 16 January to 27 January 27 2023 upon presentation of your personal QR code. The 13 Servicedesks are: ABE, TPM, AS22, AS58, IDE, 3mE, EEMC, MBW (EEMC28), CEG, AE, Library, Pulse and Echo.

You will find your personalized QR code in your e-mail.

Please note: this QR code is linked to your name and one-time use only.

Should you not be able to pick up your cutlery set in person during the two weeks they are available, you can forward your QR code to a fellow student or colleague to do this for you. This way, the distribution remains sustainable.

Gratis herbruikbare bestekset ter ere van de Dies Natalis 2023

Zoals je weet, staat duurzaamheid bij TU Delft hoog in het vaandel. Niet alleen in onderwijs, onderzoek en valorisatie, maar ook op onze eigen campus. In 2030 willen we  CO2-neutraal, klimaatadaptief en circulair zijn. Om dat te bereiken hebben we ook jouw hulp nodig. Laten we in het nieuwe jaar liefst helemaal geen wegwerpbestek meer gebruiken! Om dat te faciliteren én omdat we als universiteit jarig zijn in januari, bieden we alle medewerkers en studenten een gratis herbruikbare bestekset aan.

In het kader van duurzaamheid worden deze besteksets dus niet met de post verzonden, maar zijn ze op vertoon van je persoonlijke QR-code op te halen bij 13 Servicepunten over de hele campus in de periode van 16 januari t/m 27 januari 2023. De 13 Servicepunten zijn: BK, TBM, TN22, TN58, IO, 3mE, EWI,  MBW (EWI28), CiTG, LR, Library, Pulse en Echo.

Je vindt je persoonlijke QR-code in je e-mail.

Let op: de QR-code is gekoppeld aan je naam en eenmalig te gebruiken.

Mocht je in de twee weken dat de besteksets beschikbaar zijn niet in de gelegenheid zijn om deze persoonlijk op te halen, dan kun je je QR-code aan een medestudent of collega doorsturen om dit voor je te doen. Op deze manier blijft de distributie duurzaam.

The Executive Board hereby announces that the elections of the members of the Central Student Council (SR) and the Faculty Student Councils (FSR) will take place via the internet from Wednesday 10 May 2023 (8:00) up to and including Thursday 11 May 2023 (17:00).

The Board has laid down the timetable for organising the elections (see below). The dates mentioned are hard deadlines from which no deviation can be made under the Electoral Regulations.

Aankondiging verkiezingen 2023

Verkiezingen Centrale Studentenraad en Facultaire Studentenraden

Het College van Bestuur maakt het volgende bekend: De verkiezingen van de leden van de Centrale Studentenraad (SR) en de Facultaire Studentenraden (FSR) vinden via internet plaats van woensdag 10 mei 2023 (8:00 uur) tot en met donderdag 11 mei 2023 (17:00 uur).

Het College heeft voor de organisatie van de verkiezingen het onderstaande tijdschema vastgesteld. De genoemde data betreffen harde deadlines waar op grond van het Kiesreglement niet van kan worden afgeweken.

Tijdschema verkiezingen SR en FSR 2023

Bezwaar indienen is mogelijk binnen één week na:
1) 16 januari 2023
2) 13 maart 2023
3)  19 april 2023
4) 12 mei 2023

Twice a year you have the opportunity to follow a one-week intensive course, organized by several European Universities. This programme is called the ATHENS programme (Advanced Technology Higher Education Network, Socrates). Each course also boasts its own social programme. You can earn 2 ECTS and the ATHENS compensation of €100,- as a contribution to the travel abroad. The Athens March Session will take place from 11 to 18 March 2023.

ATHENE MAART 2023 SESSIE: NL

Twee keer per jaar heb je als Master student van TU Delft mogelijkheid om een intensieve cursus van een week te volgen bij een van top Europese Universiteiten. Dit programma heet het ATHENS-Programma (Advanced Technology Higher Education Network, Socrates). Bij cursusis er een eigen sociaal programma inbegrepen. Je kunt 2 ECTS en de ATHENS-vergoeding van € 100,- verdienen als bijdrage aan de buitenlandse reis. De Athens March Session vindt plaats van 11 tot 18 maart 2023.

During the exam period TU Delft facilitates extra opening hours to study at the Fellowship. The Library, Echo and Pulse are also available with regular opening hours from 08:00AM to 00:00AM, also in the weekends.

XXL openingstijden studiefaciliteiten tijdens Q2

Tijdens de tentamenperiode faciliteert de TU Delft extra openingstijden om te studeren bij de Fellowship. De Bibliotheek, Echo en Pulse zijn ook beschikbaar met reguliere openingstijden van 08:00 uur tot 00:00 uur, ook in het weekend.

From Monday 16 January to Friday 3 February, several catering facilities will be open longer due to exam weeks. This offers students the chance to study longer on campus and enjoy a nice (hot) meal or a cup of coffee during the break.

New this time are the Food trucks at Freezone B that will be there on weekends (between the Library and the Aula).

Van maandag 16 januari tot en met vrijdag 3 februari zijn meerdere horecalocaties langer open in verband met de tentamenweken (XXL weken). Dit biedt studenten de kans om langer te studeren op de campus en tussendoor te genieten van een lekkere (warme) maaltijd of een kop koffie.

Nieuw deze keer zijn de Foodtrucks op Freezone B die er in het weekend staan (tussen de Library en de Aula).

Make sure you register in time for your exams. If you fail to do so, you will not be able to participate. You can register up to 14 days before the examination day. To give you enough time, the exam registration opens at the beginning of each period, namely 8 weeks before the exam day.

Meld je op tijd aan voor je tentamens!

Zorg ervoor dat je je op tijd voor je tentamens inschrijft. Doe je dit niet, dan kun je niet deelnemen. Aanmelden kan tot 14 dagen voor de tentamendag.

Om je voldoende tijd te geven wordt de tentamenregistratie aan het begin van elke periode geopend, namelijk 8 weken voor de tentamendag.

TU Delft-sponsoring studentenactiviteiten

Organiseer je de aankomende maanden een maatschappelijk, sportief en/of cultureel event? En wist je dat studenten en/of studentenverenigingen aanspraak kunnen maken op TU Delft-sponsoring? Evenementorganisatoren die een event organiseren in de maand maart, april of mei 2023 kunnen nog tot 1 februari 2023 hun aanvraag indienen.

Deze regeling richt zich op het mogelijk maken van activiteiten georganiseerd voor en door studenten, en is van toepassing op aanvragen op het terrein van de maatschappelijke, sportieve en culturele vorming van studenten van de TU Delft.
