These are issues where complex choices must be made, that can have significant impact on our university and its scientists. Naturally, we do not shy away from this multifaceted topic. We will discuss it in the upcoming talk show, with Tim van der Hagen on behalf of the Executive Board, and various table guests. Presenter and moderator is Leon Heuts, director of Studium Generale. 1. Use unique passwords: Avoid using the same password for multiple accounts. A password manager can help generate and manage strong, unique passwords for each account.

2. Protect your devices: Always keep an eye on your devices and do not leave them unattended, especially in public places. Lock your device with a password, PIN or biometric security to protect your personal data and that of TU Delft.

One small step for you.. A giant leap for all of us

Als student aan de TU Delft ben jij verantwoordelijk voor jouw online veiligheid in een wereld die steeds afhankelijker wordt van technologie en digitale apparaten. Hoewel de universiteit stappen onderneemt om informatiebeveiliging en privacy te waarborgen, is het belangrijk dat jij ook bewust bent van de mogelijke risico’s. Daarom willen we jou inspireren om met één kleine stap het verschil te maken in onze online veiligheid.

1. Gebruik unieke wachtwoorden: Vermijd het gebruik van hetzelfde wachtwoord voor meerdere accounts. Een wachtwoordmanager kan helpen bij het genereren en beheren van sterke, unieke wachtwoorden voor elk account.

2. Bescherm je apparatuur: Houd je apparaten altijd in de gaten en laat ze niet onbeheerd achter, vooral niet in openbare ruimtes. Vergrendel je apparaat met een wachtwoord, pincode of biometrische beveiliging om je persoonlijke gegevens en die van de TU Delft te beschermen.

Met deze kleine stappen zorgen we samen voor een veiligere online omgeving voor ons allemaal. Doe mee en maak het verschil in jouw online veiligheid!

After having determined on 12 May 2023 the final results of the Central Student Council Elections, which were held on 10 and 11 May 2023, the Student Council Election Committee has declared the following candidates to be elected:

The turnout rate for this year’s Central Student Council elections was 30%. This rate is higher than in the past three years (28,9% in 2022, 27,6% in 2021 and 27,9% in 2020), but lower than in the previous year (35,4% in 2019). A total of 7.853 students voted for the Central Student Council in 2023.

Objections concerning the determination of the above results must be submitted, in writing, to the Student Council Election Committee at the latest on 19 May 2023 by e-mail to: jz@tudelft.nl or by mail:

Bij de uitslagbepaling op 12 mei 2023 van de verkiezingen voor de Centrale Studentenraad, gehouden op 10 en 11 mei 2023, heeft de Centrale Verkiezingscommissie de navolgende kandidaten gekozen verklaard:

Het opkomstpercentage voor de verkiezingen voor de Centrale Studentenraad was dit jaar 30%. Dit percentage is hoger dan de afgelopen drie jaren (28,9% in 2022, 27,6% in 2021 en 27,9% in 2020), maar lager dan in het jaar daarvoor (35,4% in 2019). Indien er op of voor 19 mei 2023 geen bezwaarschriften zijn ingediend, zal de uitslag op 20 mei 2023 onaantastbaar zijn. De kandidaten ontvangen na 22 mei 2023 van de verkiezingscommissie een brief met de mededeling of zij wel of niet zijn gekozen. Gekozen studenten hebben vervolgens één maand de tijd om hun verkiezing te aanvaarden.

All of TU Delft’s campus has been a no-smoking area. This means that smoking is banned throughout the campus. The ban is valid 24/7 and also applies to e-cigarettes. The smoking ban applies to all teaching sites in the Netherlands. This nationwide ban represents another step towards a smoke-free generation. The smoking ban is in line with broader TU Delft policy aiming to create a healthy work and study environment.

TU Delft is een rookvrije campus

De TU Delft-campus is een rookvrije campus. Dat betekent dat er niet gerookt mag worden op de campus. Het verbod geldt 7 dagen per week, 24 uur per dag en is ook van toepassing op de e-sigaret. Het rookverbod geldt voor alle onderwijsterreinen in Nederland. Het is een landelijk verbod en een volgende stap op weg naar een rookvrije generatie. Het rookverbod past goed binnen het bredere beleid van de TU Delft voor een gezonde werk- en studie-omgeving.

Onderzoek naar diversiteit binnen de TU Delft

De TU Delft streeft naar een veilige, inclusieve omgeving waar we diversiteit omarmen en zo creativiteit, welzijn en innovatie stimuleren. Een TU Delft waar je het meeste uit jezelf kan halen, ongeacht je seksuele oriëntatie, denkstijl, gender, uiterlijk, fysieke of mentale vermogen of je sociaaleconomische achtergrond. Om dat streven nog meer kracht bij te zetten, ben je uitgenodigd om de survey in te vullen die per e-mail naar je is gestuurd op 1 mei (onderwerp: What you should know for Q4). Als je de e-mail niet hebt ontvangen, dan kun je het D&I Office vragen om een nieuwe link.

De survey brengt in kaart hoe het gesteld is met diversiteit binnen onze universiteit. De uitkomsten worden gebruikt om na te gaan wat er gedaan kan worden in het stimuleren van een veilige, diverse en inclusieve werkomgeving  Het invullen van de vragenlijst duurt circa 10 minuten. We willen je vragen om de survey in één keer in te vullen. Het is niet mogelijk om de survey tussentijds af te sluiten om deze later af te maken. Alle antwoorden zijn anoniem.

Don’t forget to terminate your enrolment after the final part of your study
Have you completed the final part of your study? Please be aware that you need to send a request to terminate your enrolment through Studielink as it will not be done automatically. When you terminate your enrolment at TU Delft, you are entitled to a refund of one twelfth of the annual tuition fee for each month of the academic year in which you are no longer enrolled, with the exception of termination as from July and August.

Enrolment termination with retroactive effect is not possible.
