A nifty website for every student: webprint.tudelft.nl

output-34871_640

We’ve all had this problem, especially right before the deadline of a project or paper: how do you print while you’re on the TU Delft network? Well fear no more, webprint.tudelft.nl easily and quickly answers all your print question. You can find information about how to install a printer, printing costs, where you can upgrade your print balance, where and how you can bind your documents, how you can give a print command from your mobile device and where you can print at a larger size. All the information you need combined at one place. It’s recently been given a nice facelift too, pretty nifty right?

If you have any questions about webprint.tudelft.nl, please contact the Service Desk in your faculty (servicepunt.tudelft.nl) or any of the Student IT Desks on campus (sid.tudelft.nl).

Welcome new students!

Changes in exam schedules for 2015-2016

We did it! It was quite a puzzle this year to schedule all the lectures and exams for 2015-2016 with the growing student numbers. In order to get it done we have had to make some little changes to the exam schedules.

Please beware: all afternoon exams will start at 13:30 hours, instead of 14:00 hours like last year. Keep this in mind, it would be a shame if you’re late for your exam.

Besides this our Facility Management & Real Estate (FMRE) department has worked hard this summer on upgrading our Cornelis Drebbelweg building (35). They have built new classrooms, project- and computer rooms and a brand new digital exam hall. These rooms can be used by all faculties. We’ll also use the Pathé movie theatre and the Auditorium in order to schedule all classes.

Join us at the Opening of the Academic Year ’15/16

It’s been a busy week filled with fun activities. Now it’s time to get started! You are warmly invited to the opening of TU Delft’s 2015/16 academic year on Monday 31 August. We will start in the afternoon, so you can still recover from OWEE and, most importantly, be on time.

OWEE 2015 and Introduction Programme beat the rain!

IMG_20150817_144218206_HDR

The OWEE 2015 has officially started. Despite the rain, the new students had a great first OWEE day with many fun activities. The students visited the colorful stands on the ‘infomarkt’ with umbrellas in their hands and enjoyed the music in the background. The theme this year is ” This is your moment”. The OWEE has added some new events to the programme: cabaret, an open air cinema night and a backstage campus tour. TU Delft expects to welcome more than 4,000 new enthusiastic bachelor and master students.

Introduction meeting Kurzweil text-to-speech software for students

Do you suffer from dyslexia or do you have trouble focussing on texts? The text-to-speech software from Kurzweil has helped countless students at TU Delft and might be a good help for you when studying.

On August 24, from 11:00 to 12:00, there will be a demonstration of the possibilities of Kurzweil software. The programme enables you to hear your study material directly from text. It can also help you write texts yourself, for instance in Dutch or English.

If you’d like to attend the Kurzweil Software demonstration at TU Delft, send an e-mail to functiebeperking@tudelft.nl.

For more information about studying with a dissability at TU Delft, check out www.functiebeperking.tudelft.nl
