On Sunday, January 28, 2024, we celebrate Privacy Day. To mark this occasion, we have something special planned for you at TU Delft. As Privacy Day falls on a weekend, we’re bringing a food truck to campus on Monday, January 29, and Tuesday, January 30, to distribute delicious fries. (Freezone E) All you need to do to enjoy these fries is show the completed survey, which you’ll find at the bottom of this message. Hurry, as it is first come, first served!

The survey, taking just 5 minutes of your time, aims to test awareness of privacy among our students and staff. At TU Delft, we consider this crucial because it enables us to provide you with even more relevant information. We hope for your participation in the survey and look forward to enjoyable moments with fries on campus!

Doe mee aan de Privacy Enquête en geniet van gratis friet!

Op zondag 28 januari 2024 vieren we de Dag van de Privacy. Ter gelegenheid hiervan hebben we iets speciaals voor jullie gepland op de TU Delft. Omdat de Dag van de Privacy in een weekend valt, brengen we op maandag 29 januari en dinsdag 30 januari tussen 11:30 en 17:00 een foodtruck naar de campus (Freezone E) om heerlijke frietjes uit te delen. Het enige wat je hoeft te doen om van deze frietjes te genieten is de ingevulde enquête te laten zien, die je onderaan dit bericht vindt. Haast je, want OP=OP!

De enquête, die slechts 5 minuten in beslag neemt, is bedoeld om het bewustzijn van privacy onder studenten en medewerkers te testen. Bij de TU Delft vinden we dit erg belangrijk, omdat we je op deze manier van nog relevantere informatie kunnen voorzien. We hopen op je deelname aan de enquête en kijken uit naar een gezellig moment op de campus met een frietje!

Do you want to experience how it is to be an entrepreneur in hydrogen or green chemistry?  Then the H2 & Green Chem Founders’ Fellowship might be something for you! After the great success of the AI Founders’ Fellowship, the Impact Studio in collaboration with Groenvermogen & RELEASE will kick-off a programme running in Q3 and Q4 this academic year!

The programme gives you the opportunity to hands-on experience how to explore market opportunities of TU Delft technology and to discover the H2 & Green Chemistry technology that the TU Delft is developing. Together with the researchers of the technology, you will explore the market potential and: if all goes well you might even get the opportunity to start your own start-up with the technology!

Enrol in the Brightspace course called Placement Test English 2023-2024 and sign up.

Twice a year you have the opportunity to follow a one-week intensive course, organized by several European Universities. This program is called the ATHENS programme (Advanced Technology Higher Education Network, Socrates). Each course also boasts its own social programme. You can earn 2 ECTS and the ATHENS compensation of €150,- as a contribution to the travel abroad. The Athens March Session will take place from March 16th to 23th 2024 and the deadline for application is 30 January 2024. See below links for more information:

Twee keer per jaar heb je als Master student van TU Delft mogelijkheid om een intensieve cursus van een week te volgen bij een van top Europese Universiteiten. ATHENS TU Delft Outgoing Students

During the exam period TU Delft facilitates extra opening hours to study at the Fellowship. The Library, Echo and Pulse are also available with regular opening hours from 08:00AM to 00:00AM, also in the weekends. Cafes also have extended opening hours so you don’t have to go hungry while you study.

XXL openingstijden studiefaciliteiten tijdens de tentamenperiode

Tijdens de tentamenperiode faciliteert de TU Delft extra openingstijden om te studeren bij de Fellowship. De Bibliotheek, Echo en Pulse zijn ook beschikbaar met reguliere openingstijden van 08:00 uur tot 00:00 uur, ook in het weekend. Ook de horeca heeft verruimde openingstijden zodat je geen honger hoeft te hebben tijden het studeren.

The Executive Board hereby announces that the elections of the members of the Central Student Council (SR) and the Faculty Student Councils (FSR) will take place via the internet from Wednesday 15 May 2024 (8:00) up to and including Thursday 16 May 2024 (17:00).

The Board has laid down the timetable for organising the elections (see below). The dates mentioned are hard deadlines from which no deviation can be made under the Electoral Regulations.

Verkiezingen Centrale Studentenraad en Facultaire Studentenraden

Het College van Bestuur maakt het volgende bekend: De verkiezingen van de leden van de Centrale Studentenraad (SR) en de Facultaire Studentenraden (FSR) vinden via internet plaats van woensdag 15 mei 2024 (8:00 uur) tot en met donderdag 16 mei 2024 (17:00 uur).

Het College heeft voor de organisatie van de verkiezingen het onderstaande tijdschema vastgesteld. De genoemde data betreffen harde deadlines waar op grond van het Kiesreglement niet van kan worden afgeweken.

Sea level rises and salt intrusions, an ever-growing population and planning issues, urban flooding and summer droughts: the earth’s water – be it fresh or salt – is not just a lifeforce but increasingly poses threats and challenges. To keep Deltas around the world safe and livable in the future, we urgently need to rethink them, and plan and design them differently.

Do you want to make an impact on a sustainable society as part of your curriculum?

In Learning Communities you will collaborate with fellow students (HBO/WO/MBO),companies, teachers, governmental institutions and citizens to adress challenges with high impact on sustainability and the energy transition. Depending on your interests you can choose to join any Learning Community and work on a challenge as being your Minor, BEP, MSc Thesis, internship or project course.

Focus area’s:

• Developing and testing a smart power grid to share locally produced energy
• Development of an offshore wind energy farm game
• Working on prototypes for efficient and green production of hydrogen
• Testing the safety of hydrogen storage in the built environment
• Installation of solar foils in the agricultural sector
• Mapping streams of medical waste and design solutions
• Work on an emission free port
• Work on an emission free construction site

The official opening of Exhale, a social living room powered by X is just around the corner. 19 January marks our official opening, so we’re throwing a house party giving students, colleagues and friends of TU Delft all-access to the building which has been a long, long time in the making. Come and eat, drink, have a dance, and meet the team – all for free, of course!

Exhale is a social living space located on the West Square at X. It is a temporary project examining the wants and needs of students today, so that we can all take better care of each other tomorrow. Exhale offers free events, workshops, and get-togethers; a social living space to relax and hang out; and a creative studio guided by studio experts where you can work, create, and explore.
