Pilot exams on campus still going on
Scroll down for English

At the press conference on Tuesday 12 January, Prime Minister Rutte announced that the lockdown and lockdown related measures will be extended until 9 February.
This means that the TU Delft measures of December 16 remain in force. Education will still take place online, with the exception of exams, practicals and guidance of vulnerable students. The study advisor decides whether a student belongs to this group.
The current pilot for On-Campus exams will continue taking the corona regulations in to account during the upcoming exam period. Students who can take an exam on campus will be informed by the lecturer. Keep an eye on Brightspace.
Check the corona webpage for students for extensive updates on corona guidelines at TU Delft.

‘Plagiarism in education and research’ discussion on 26 January 2021
On Tuesday 26 January from 14:00 to 17:00, the VSNU will be holding an afternoon discussion on plagiarism in education and research.
This session will focus on several questions:
- What are the legal contours of the term ‘plagiarism’ and how do these compare to the relevant requirements imposed with respect to academic integrity?
- From a historical perspective, have there been any developments in the way people view plagiarism (and originality)?
- Which best (or worst) practices can be found in teaching and scientific research methods?
The event will feature two speakers from the UvA: our rector Karen Maex will deliver the opening address, and professor Jonathan Soeharno, who is also the chair of the Academic Integrity Committee, will discuss the question ‘What exactly is a violation of academic integrity?’.
Those interested may attend the session online. View the entire (Dutch spoken) programme and register to attend on vsnu.nl

Internships and research projects abroad cancelled
Due to the great uncertainty surrounding the development and spread of the COVID-19 virus worldwide, and being no longer able to fall back on government and business travel insurance in the event of repatriation, (graduation) internships and research projects abroad are not allowed until 1 September 2021. This decision based on the current corona pandemic situation will be reviewed at the beginning of May 2021.
Faculties can allow exceptions for countries with the travel advice colour codes yellow and green, if there is no alternative in The Netherlands and the consequences of cancelling are disproportionate. Currently, no permission will be granted to go to countries with colour codes orange and red. For more information, check your faculty’s Brightspace regarding internships and the guidelines the faculties have drawn up regarding this matter.
Travel is at your own risk.
Following the modified Dutch government policy to no longer repatriate citizens in the event of a lockdown, any additional costs incurred and/or any further consequences, such as a delay to the study programme, are the student’s own responsibility.
