TU Delft offers all kinds of services to support your studies, your personal development and your well-being. Do you find it difficult to find the right information or help? Then it might be nice to talk to a fellow student, no matter how big or small your question is. Between 12:00 and 14:00 there will be a student in the CONNECT seating area to talk to. This student host will be happy to offer you a listening ear, to think along with you, to discover together what you need and what your next step within TU Delft can be.

CONNECT – students helping students 

TU Delft biedt allerlei services om je te ondersteunen in je studie, persoonlijke ontwikkeling en welzijn. Vind je het lastig om de juiste informatie of hulp te vinden? Dan kan het fijn zijn om een medestudent te spreken, hoe groot of klein je vraag ook is. In de zithoek van CONNECT is tussen 12:00-14:00 een student aanwezig waarbij je terecht kan. Deze student host biedt je graag een luisterend oor, denkt met je mee om samen te ontdekken wat je nodig hebt en welke volgende stap je kunt zetten binnen de TU Delft.

TU Delft is part of the European alliance ENHANCE, and through the ENHANCE alliance you can take online courses, training courses and (short-term) courses at our partner universities in Norway, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Italy and Spain. A perfect opportunity for you to invest in your personal development, to specialise in a subject in which TU Delft may not offer a course or to delve deeper into another field of knowledge.

Nieuw ENHANCE onderwijsaanbod beschikbaar herfst-winter 2024-2025

Wil jij je verbreden of verdiepen in bijvoorbeeld Digitalisering en Artificiële Intelligentie, Slimme en duurzame steden en klimaat. Of wil je je ontwikkelen door bijvoorbeeld een andere taal te leren en tegelijkertijd nieuwe vrienden te maken? Dan is dat mogelijk binnen ENHANCE.

TU Delft maakt deel uit van de Europese Alliantie, ENHANCE, en bied je, via deze Alliantie, de mogelijkheid om onder andere (online) vakken en trainingen te volgen bij onze partner universiteiten in Noorwegen, Zweden, Duitsland, Polen, Zwitserland, Italië en Spanje. Een perfecte kans voor jou om te investeren in je persoonlijke ontwikkeling, je te specialiseren in een onderwerp waarin de TU Delft wellicht geen vak aanbiedt of je te verdiepen in een ander kennisveld.

Better TUgether, This is how we care. Sociale veiligheid update september

Gezamenlijk bouwen we aan een sociaal veiliger klimaat op de TU Delft. Maandelijks blikken we terug op afgelopen maand: welke acties zijn ondernomen in het kader van Plan for Change, en kijken we vooruit naar de komende maand: wat staat er op de agenda.

Have you completed the final part of your study? Please be aware that you need to send a request to terminate your enrolment through Studielink as it will not be done automatically. When you terminate your enrolment at TU Delft, you are entitled to a refund of one twelfth of the annual tuition fee for each month of the academic year in which you are no longer enrolled, with the exception of termination as from July and August. 

Enrolment termination with retroactive effect is not possible.

Be aware! If you are not enrolled and you still use educational or examination facilities (including taking exams) there will be financial consequences. It can also affect your student grants and/or student travel product.

Looking for a study place on campus? Via Spacefinder, you can check the opening hours and available facilities of each study spot. Additionally, you can see how busy the different buildings are at the moment although the occupancy indicator is under development and therefore temporarily indicative.

Vind je perfecte studieplek op de TU Delft campus! 

Ben je op zoek naar een studieplek op de campus? Via Spacefinder bekijk je de openingstijden en beschikbare voorzieningen van elke studieplek. Daarnaast kun je zien hoe druk het is in de verschillende gebouwen op dit moment hoewel de bezettingsgraadindicator in ontwikkeling is en tijdelijk indicatief is. 

Voordelen van Spacefinder: 

• Vind direct alle studieruimtes op de campus en ontdek nieuwe favoriete plekken.

Every year in October all faculties hold ‘Study Abroad Week’ events whereby they give presentations about the possibilities of going abroad as part of your study programme. They provide information regarding the partners, destinations, and application process. This academic year the Study Abroad Sessions will be held from 14 – 18 October (except for the Faculty of Applied Sciences, they will hold the week from 21 – 25 October).

If you are thinking about going abroad as part of your BSC of MSc programme, keep an eye on your faculty Brightspace page or faculty website or this page for more information.

Twice a year you have the opportunity to follow a one-week intensive course, organized by several European Universities. This program is called the ATHENS programme (Advanced Technology Higher Education Network, Socrates). Each course also boasts its own social program. You can earn 2 ECTS and the ATHENS compensation of €100,- as a contribution to the travel abroad. The Athens November Session will take place from November 16 to 23 November 2024 and the deadline for application is 25 September 2024. See links below for more information:

Verdien 2 ECTS met de ATHENS Sessie

Twee keer per jaar heb je als Master student van TU Delft mogelijkheid om een intensieve cursus van een week te volgen bij een van top Europese Universiteiten. Dit programma heet het ATHENS-Programma (Advanced Technology Higher Education Network, Socrates). Bij cursus is er een eigen sociaal programma inbegrepen. Je kunt 2 ECTS en de ATHENS-vergoeding van € 100,- verdienen als bijdrage aan de buitenlandse reis. De Athens November  sessie vindt plaats van 16 tot 23 November 2024 en de deadline voor aanmelden is 25 September 2024. Zie onderstaande links voor meer informatie:

With the theme ‘Engineering the Future’, this year we are looking at the building blocks of our sustainable future. 

Mobility, food supply, healthcare, energy supply and the way we use raw materials: all will change dramatically in this century. At TU Delft, we can help shape these transitions. What we do here can influence how businesses as well as end users behave. Take our smartphones, most of whose gold and lithium still ends up in landfill after a few years. If you design them differently from the start, you can achieve ‘zero waste’ at the end – and this is just one example.

Our guests include Michiel Langezaal, alumnus and CEO of FastNed, the company building a network of fast-charging points along Europe’s motorways. We talk to Dream Team Epoch, which aims to use AI to contribute to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. We also welcome Irek Roslon, alumnus and founder of SoundCell, the startup developing a screening that allows doctors to choose the right antibiotics for patients at lightning speed. They will talk about their paths to the future, the building blocks they need and the obstacles they face. How they are shaping their own and our future, and who they are working with. 

Music and dance will also be part of this festive gathering.  And at the end, we will all raise a glass to the new academic year!
