3 Assistant Vacancies for Introduction Programme 2014

The Introduction Programme is a 2-week compulsory programme (15-28 August) for all international students who are about to begin their studies at the TU Delft. Since its initiation in 2008 it has enjoyed a growing success and welcomed a record number of 977 students in summer 2013. For the 2014 introduction programme, we are looking for 3 assistants.

The vacancies are for:

The Introduction Programme consists of mandatory and voluntary programme elements that are all specifically designed to get students acquainted with the academic culture of TU Delft, the city of Delft and The Netherlands in general. At the same time they meet their new peers from around the world. The Introduction Programme contains all the necessary ingredients to ensure that new international students enjoy a great start of their studies in Delft. Please watch this video in order to get a better of the Introduction Programme.

The Introduction Programme consists of:

  • Mandatory programme: faculty related activities, academic lectures, team project and presentation, opening and closing ceremony. Students receive an official certificate of participation after completing the compulsory programme elements.
  • Voluntary programme: a variety of practical, social and academic activities based on the ‘pick your own’ / ‘a la carte’ concept (e.g. shopping, excursions, sports, pubcrawl), leaving students freedom to pick those activities that fit their own individual needs.
  • Formal services: Schiphol Airport – TU Delft Shuttle Service, TU Delft – Accomodation bus service, and the Registration Round, in which students finish their paperwork with the official institutions in order to settle in The Netherlands (e.g. insurances, municipality, bank account).
  • Survival Café: the central meeting point of the entire programme, where students can take part in social events, enjoy drinks and snacks, get information and answers to their questions answered, it’s a hive of continuous activity.
