Will you help the Library take the IVI Award home?

The Library Tour App is nominated for the “Innovatie voor Informatie award 2015”. Yearly, the IVI Award is awarded to the Dutch library, archive, museum or similar institution that has developed the most innovative idea to inform their audience. This year the TU Delft Library Tour App is nominated, so help them to win and vote!

The app was developed to familiarize new students with the TU Delft Library. The app takes you on an interactive tour, whenever you like, through the Library and shows you all possibilities, like how to reserve a projectspace or where to find massage chairs. TU Delft Library is the first library in Europe who uses iBeacon-technology, in collaboration with the startup LabWerk. IBeacons are bluetooth-transmitters who send specific targeted information to smarthphones who are nearby. In the TU Delft Library there are iBeacons on 15 different places.
