Vote for TU Delft in the SURF Innovation Challenge

surf-innovation-challenge

The SURF Innovation Challenge challenged students and lecturers to hand in a video of their innovations. Of course people within TU Delft participated. Now it’s up to you to vote for your favorite idea. Hint….. vote for the following two duo’s:

  • Hans Hellendoorn and Kerim Haccou (3mE) expressed their wish that students should be able to learn from their mistakes. Exams should be not only be able to tell them that there is room to grow, but show them in what particular part they need to grow. Students should be aware of their strengths and weaknesses. In short, the potential to grow has to become insightful for students.
  • Another student-lecturer couple participating in the challenge were Ate Snijders and Dirk Klijn (Architecture). They designed a model to show students how the forces within complex building structures work. Colored led lights show different forces with different loads.

Watch all the videos here and vote! You can review the videos until November 3rd and decide which 20 innovations will make it into the second round. Eventually 10 duo’s will be rewarded with €10.000. This reward will give participants the possibility to carry out experiments, using innovating ICT applications to stimulate personalized and flexible education.
