“Parking disk” trial for study spaces at the Library
You arrive at the library. It’s packed. In the distance you see, what seems like, an empty space. Nope, someone just dropped their bag on the chair and left. Basically occupying a spot without using it. Or maybe they’re off for a quick lunch break.
In order to counter the difficulties with students claiming study spots while not using them, the Library introduced the ‘parking disk’ as a positive solution.
Starting Monday 18 January, you can use a parking disk to reserve your workspace when you have to leave for lunch or an exam. By setting the disk up at your study place, other people get the chance to use your spot until you get back. On the disk you give an indication of your time of return. No more unused study spaces, everybody wins! The disks can be found in the container near the workspaces.
Sharing is caring. So share your study-space-sharing-experience using the parking disks on social media, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, using #tudelftlibrary.
