Scientists of TU Delft created the smallest autonomous racing drone in the world
The drone-racing team of MAVLab succeeded in creating the smallest autonomous racing drone in the world. The drone has a diameter of 10 centimetre and weighs 72 grams. With only one camera and very little onboard processing, the drone flies autonomously through a racetrack.
One of the challenges during the creation process, was the usage of just only one small camera and the limited amount of data processing. The most important innovation is the prediction of movement and computer vision. Want to know more about this self-directing and artificial intelligence racing drone?
