The Executive Board hereby announces that the elections of the members of the Student Council (SR) and the Faculty Student Councils (FSR) will take place via the internet from Wednesday 2^nd of June 2021 (8.00) up to and including Thursday 3^rd of June 2021 (17:00).

The Board has laid down the timetable for organising the elections (see below).

The cabinet has decided to impose an evening curfew from 21:00 in the evening to 04:30 in the morning. This goes into effect on Saturday 23 January 2021. For more information click here. 

Exception possible for internships

If you are a student doing an internship at an internship company and it is necessary to go outside during the curfew for your internship, then your internship can be seen as work. Students may go outside with a statement from their employer (in case of interns, the internship company) if necessary. Ask for a statement from your internship company.

De overheid heeft besloten om een avondklok in te stellen van 21.00 uur ‘s avonds tot 04.30 uur ’s ochtends. Deze gaat op zaterdag 23 januari 2021 in. Hier vind je meer informatie.

Uitzondering mogelijk voor stages

Als je als student stage bij een stagebedrijf loopt en als het noodzakelijk is om naar buiten te gaan tijdens de avondklok voor je stage, dan kan je stage gezien worden als werk. Studenten mogen met een verklaring van werkgever (in geval van stagiairs dus het stagebedrijf) naar buiten indien nodig. Vraag dan een verklaring bij je stagebedrijf.

This week the National Student Survey (NSE) is kicking off! An invite will be sent to your student e-mail.

The TU Delft would like to know if you are satisfied with the education programme you’re currently pursuing. The NSE results give us insight into the quality of our education. Your input, together with that of over 270,000 other students, will also be used to inform prospective students on their future study choice.

In de persconferentie van dinsdag 12 januari kondigde Rutte aan dat de lockdown en de daarbij behorende maatregelen verlengd worden tot en met 9 februari.

Onderwijs zal nog steeds online zal plaatsvinden, maar met een uitzondering voor tentamens, practica en begeleiding van kwetsbare studenten. De studieadviseur besluit of een student tot deze groep behoort.

Tijdens de aankomende tentamenperiode vindt er een pilot plaats met het afnemen van tentamens op de campus, met het inacht nemen van alle corona richtlijnen. Studenten die een tentamen on campus kunnen afleggen zijn daarover al geïnformeerd door hun docent. Houd hiervoor Brightspace in de gaten.

At the press conference on Tuesday 12 January, Prime Minister Rutte announced that the lockdown and lockdown related measures will be extended until 9 February.

This means that the TU Delft measures of December 16 remain in force. Education will still take place online, with the exception of exams, practicals and guidance of vulnerable students. The study advisor decides whether a student belongs to this group.

The current pilot for On-Campus exams will continue taking the corona regulations in to account during the upcoming exam period. Students who can take an exam on campus will be informed by the lecturer. Keep an eye on Brightspace.

A pilot is being carried out with exams taken on campus. Students who have to take an exam on campus will be informed by the lecturer.

Er wordt een pilot uitgevoerd met tentamens on campus. Studenten die een tentamen on campus moeten afleggen worden via de docent geïnformeerd.

On Tuesday 26 January from 14:00 to 17:00, the VSNU will be holding an afternoon discussion on plagiarism in education and research.

This session will focus on several questions:

• What are the legal contours of the term ‘plagiarism’ and how do these compare to the relevant requirements imposed with respect to academic integrity?
• From a historical perspective, have there been any developments in the way people view plagiarism (and originality)?
• Which best (or worst) practices can be found in teaching and scientific research methods?

The event will feature two speakers from the UvA: our rector Karen Maex will deliver the opening address, and professor Jonathan Soeharno, who is also the chair of the Academic Integrity Committee, will discuss the question ‘What exactly is a violation of academic integrity?’.
