Geen jouw mening! Doe de Nationale Studenten Enquête 2022

Op 17 januari is de Nationale Studenten Enquête 2022 van start gegaan. Dé mogelijkheid om de TU Delft te laten weten of je tevreden bent met jouw opleiding. De resultaten van de enquête geven ons inzicht over de kwaliteit van het onderwijs en helpen studiekiezers bij het vinden van de opleiding die bij hen past.

Laat je stem horen! De oproep voor de NSE is naar je studentmail gestuurd, ben je deze kwijt? Hier vraag je hem opnieuw op.

Door de NSE in te vullen maak je kans op mooie prijzen, zoals noise cancelling headphones, bol.com bonnen en een Macbook Air.

Have you completed the final part of your study? Please be aware that you need to send a request to terminate your enrolment through Studielink as it will not be done automatically. Tuition fees need to be paid up to and including the last month of your enrolment. Enrolment termination with retroactive effect is not possible.

Starting from academic year 2022/2023, TU Delft will change the digital (direct debit) authorization for tuition fees from 12 months to 9 months. If you choose to pay in instalments, you will pay 1/9th of the tuition fee each month from September to May. This means that the monthly direct debit (from September to May) will be higher. In the months of June, July and August there will be no more direct debits.

Wijziging incassotermijnen collegegeld van 12 naar 9 maanden

Met ingang van studiejaar 2022/2023 past TU Delft de incassotermijnen voor betaling van het collegegeld aan van 12 maanden naar 9 maanden. Kies je voor incassobetaling in termijnen, dan betaal je in de maanden september t/m mei maandelijks 1/9e deel van het collegegeld. Dit betekent dat het incassobedrag per maand (september t/m mei) hoger wordt. In de maanden juni, juli en augustus zullen er geen incasso’s meer plaatsvinden.

After the success of the ‘UNLOCKING… Educators of TU Delft’ series the university would like to hear YOUR story about flexibility and resilience. The emphasis here is on the storytelling part. Personal stories, anecdotes and insights are being turned into an inspirational and optimistic stories.

Who is it for?
You. The narrative of filmmaking is a powerful thing. Reality is authoritative. It’s hard to argue with a true story. And when we, together with you, can make that story clear and compelling, we help others to achieve their goals during changing situations.

Exams
Exams will take place as planned. We urge everyone not to come to the campus for an exam in case of a positive test, when you have corona symptoms, or when you must quarantine.

Face masks on campus
We expect all our students on campus to wear a face mask when moving between rooms, but also when sitting down in (class)rooms if a distance of 1.5 metres cannot be maintained. Face masks should also be worn outside, if a distance of 1.5 metres cannot be kept. Instead of using reusable cloth masks, it is recommended to use disposable face masks, preferably type II. Microbiological, chemical and radiological laboratories are exceptions to this rule, as specific rules with regards to face protection apply.

Maximum group size
Once again, a maximum group size of 75 people per independent room applies.

Tentamens
Tentamens gaan gewoon door zoals gepland. We verzoeken iedereen met klem om niet naar de campus te komen voor een tentamen in geval van een positieve test, wanneer je coronaklachten hebt of als je in quarantaine moet.

Mondkapjes op campus
We verwachten dat al onze studenten op de campus een mondkapje dragen, niet alleen tijdens het verplaatsen, maar ook zittend in (onderwijs-)ruimtes waar geen 1.5 meter afstand gehouden kan worden. Ook buiten dienen mondkapjes gedragen te worden wanneer er geen 1,5 meter afstand kan worden gehouden. Het advies is om in plaats van stoffen mondkapjes gebruik te maken van wegwerp-mondmaskers, waarbij de voorkeur uitgaat naar type II. Een uitzondering hierop zijn de microbiologische, chemische en radiologische laboratoria, waar specifieke regels voor gezichtsbescherming gelden.

Maximum groepsgrootte
Opnieuw geldt een maximale groepsgrootte van 75 personen per zelfstandige ruimte.

Take part in the National Student Survey 2022!

This week the National Student Survey (NSE) is kicking off! An invite will be sent to your student email.

The TU Delft would like to know if you are satisfied with the education programme you’re currently pursuing. The NSE results give us insight into the quality of our education. Your input, together with that of over 270.000 other students, will also be used to inform prospective students on their future study choice.

To make it even more fun, the NSE is giving away some really great prizes! So what are you waiting for? Check your email, fill in the survey and let your voice be heard! You can fill in the survey until 13 March 2022.

De TU Delft wil graag weten of je tevreden bent over je opleiding. De NSE-resultaten geven ons inzicht over de kwaliteit van ons onderwijs. Ook wordt jouw mening samen met die van ruim 270.000 andere studenten gebruikt voor landelijke studiekeuzevoorlichting.

Om het nog leuker te maken, maak je kans op mooie prijzen! Dus waar wacht je nog op? Ga naar je mail, vul de enquête in en laat je stem horen! Invullen kan tot en met 13 maart 2022.

The Executive Board hereby announces that the elections of the members of the Central Student Council (SR) and the Faculty Student Councils (FSR) will take place via the internet from Wednesday 11 May 2022 (8:00) up to and including Thursday 12 May 2022 (17:00).

The Board has laid down the timetable for organising the elections (see below). The dates mentioned are hard deadlines from which no deviation can be made under the Electoral Regulations.

Verkiezingen Centrale Studentenraad en Facultaire Studentenraden
Het College van Bestuur maakt het volgende bekend: De verkiezingen van de leden van de Centrale Studentenraad (SR) en de Facultaire Studentenraden (FSR) vinden via internet plaats van woensdag 11 mei 2022 (8:00 uur) tot en met donderdag 12 mei 2022 (17:00 uur).

Het College heeft voor de organisatie van de verkiezingen het onderstaande tijdschema vastgesteld. De genoemde data betreffen harde deadlines waar op grond van het Kiesreglement niet van kan worden afgeweken.

Bezwaar indienen is mogelijk binnen één week na:

On January 14, the government decided that universities, and with them TU Delft, can partially reopen for education and research as of January 15.

Exams

Face masks on campus 
There is a stricter requirement to wear a face mask. This means that everyone has to wear a disposable face mask on campus, not only when moving around, but also when sitting in teaching rooms, with the exception of certain practicals and in laboratories where a face mask is not allowed for safety reasons. Also outside, face masks should be worn when a distance of 1.5 metres cannot be maintained. The advice from now on is to wear a disposable face mask. Fabric and homemade face masks are not recommended.

Maximum group size 
Once again, a maximum group size of 75 people per independent room applies.

Op 14 januari jl. heeft het kabinet besloten dat de universiteiten en daarmee de TU Delft vanaf 15 januari weer gedeeltelijk open mogen voor onderwijs en onderzoek.

Tentamens 
Tentamens gaan dus gewoon door zoals gepland. We verzoeken iedereen met klem om niet naar de campus te komen voor een tentamen in geval van een positieve test, wanneer je coronaklachten hebt of als je in quarantaine moet.

Mondkapjes op campus
Daarbij geldt dat er een aanscherping is voor het dragen van een mondkapje. Dat betekent dat iedereen een wegwerpmondkapje draagt op de campus, niet alleen tijdens het verplaatsen, maar ook zittend in onderwijsruimtes, met uitzondering van bepaalde practica en in laboratoria waar juist een mondkapje in verband met de veiligheid niet op mag. Ook buiten dienen mondkapjes gedragen te worden wanneer er geen 1,5 meter afstand kan worden gehouden. Het advies is vanaf nu om een wegwerpmondkapje te dragen. Stoffen en zelfgemaakte mondkapjes worden afgeraden.

Maximum groepsgrootte
Opnieuw geldt een maximale groepsgrootte van 75 personen per zelfstandige ruimte.

Do you experience any challenges during your studies? You are not the only one! A Study Buddy might help.

A buddy can help you organize your study activities or study approach. You can also ask for a Buddy if you need some (extra) social contact. You meet with your Buddy for one hour a week, online or face-to-face. This project was initially only available for students with special needs. Since last year the availability of buddies has been extended to all students.

Do you need more information about the project or would you like to sign up?

Study Buddy Project

Ervaar je weleens uitdagingen bij het studeren? Heb je moeite met (thuis) studeren en zou je wel wat hulp kunnen gebruiken van een medestudent? Wellicht is een study buddy dan wat voor jou! Met een buddy spreek je een uur per week af. De buddy kan helpen bij je studieplanning of studieaanpak. Je kunt ook een buddy inschakelen als je wat meer behoefte hebt aan sociaal contact. Het project is in eerste instantie bestemd voor studenten met een functiebeperking maar sinds de coronamaatregelen van het afgelopen jaar is deelname aan dit project nu ook mogelijk voor studenten zonder een functiebeperking.

On 8 January, 2022, TU Delft celebrates its 180th anniversary. We will mark this on 14 January during our Dies Natalis ceremony, when we will also kick-off of our anniversary year. From that day on, everyone can participate in a 180-day anniversary programme devoted to the energy transition. More information can be found on the anniversary homepage. 

Speeding up the Energy Transition
The energy transition is an important pillar in the fight against climate change and with 1.000 energy scientists TU Delft is a major player. We want to use our knowledge and expertise to accelerate the success of the energy transition. To lend force to this ambition, “Speeding up the Energy Transition“ is the theme of our anniversary year. For 180 days we will focus extra attention on this topic, both within TU Delft and in the world around us. The energy transition is a huge undertaking that calls for innovation and radical change on many fronts. It will only succeed by means of cooperation within and outside the scientific community. That is why we are not taking on this challenge by ourselves, but together with industry, governments, alumni and other stakeholders.

Energy Accelerator Team
At the Dies Natalis, we will also introduce our Energy Accelerator Team: a multidisciplinary team of ten talented Delft energy scientists. They will identify and drive TU Delft’s impact on the energy transition and its intended acceleration. The Energy Accelerator Team will propagate our active role in the energy transition and take the lead therein within the university.

Honorary doctorates
Honorary doctorates are traditionally awarded during the Dies Natalis; this year there are three.

Two scientific honorary doctorates to:
Jürgen Janek, Professor of Physical Chemistry at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany, for his fundamental work on Solid State Electrochemistry and his global leadership in disseminating his knowledge and experience in this field.

Jennifer Holmgren, CEO of the US carbon recycling company LanzaTech, for her pioneering work on Industrial Biotechnology and her inspirational leadership focused on achieving a circular carbon economy.

An honorary doctorate for societal contributions to:
Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice President of the European Commission, for his efforts in the social arena to put climate issues on the agenda and to get governments, businesses and institutions in the Netherlands, Europe and the world to take the necessary action.

During the ceremony, the honorary professors will award the honorary doctorates and deliver a speech (‘laudatio’) in praise of the recipients.

Op 8 januari 2022 bestaat TU Delft 180 jaar. Dat vieren wij op 14 januari tijdens de Dies Natalis-ceremonie, tevens de aftrap van ons lustrumjaar. Speeding up the Energy Transition
De energietransitie is een belangrijke pijler in het tegengaan van klimaatverandering. Met 1000 energiewetenschappers is TU Delft daarin een speler van formaat. We willen onze kennis en kunde inzetten om die transitie versneld tot een succes te maken. Om die ambitie kracht bij te zetten is “Speeding up the Energy Transition“ het thema van ons lustrumjaar: 180 dagen lang besteden we extra aandacht aan dit thema. Binnen TU Delft, maar juist ook met de wereld om ons heen. De energietransitie is namelijk een enorme opgave die vraagt om innovatie en radicale verandering op vele fronten. Dat kan slechts slagen door samenwerking binnen en buiten de wetenschap. Die uitdaging gaan we daarom niet alleen aan, maar samen met bedrijfsleven, overheden, alumni en andere belanghebbenden.

Energy Accelerator Team
Op de Dies Natalis introduceren we ook ons Energy Accelerator Team: een multidisciplinair team van tien getalenteerde Delftse energiewetenschappers. Zij zullen de impact van de TU Delft op de energietransitie en de beoogde versnelling daarvan in kaart brengen en aanjagen. Het Energy Accelerator Team zal onze actieve rol in de energietransitie uitdragen en binnen de universiteit het voortouw nemen in dit domein.

Eredoctoraten
Tijdens de Dies Natalis worden traditioneel eredoctoraten uitgereikt; dit jaar zijn dat er drie.

Twee wetenschappelijke eredoctoraten aan: Jürgen Janek, Professor in de fysische chemie aan de Justus Liebig Universiteit in het Duitse Giessen, vanwege zijn fundamentele werk voor Solid State Electrochemistry en zijn wereldwijde leiderschap in het verspreiden van de kennis en ervaring hierover.

Jennifer Holmgren, CEO van het Amerikaanse koolstofrecyclingbedrijf LanzaTech, vanwege haar voortrekkersrol op gebied van Industriële Biotechnologie en haar inspirerend leiderschap gericht op het verwezenlijken van een circulaire koolstofeconomie.

Een sociaal-maatschappelijk eredoctoraat aan: Frans Timmermans, Vicevoorzitter van de Europese Commissie, voor zijn inzet in het maatschappelijke veld om de klimaatproblematiek op de agenda te zetten en overheden, bedrijfsleven en instellingen in Nederland, Europa en in de wereld in beweging te krijgen om noodzakelijke actie te ondernemen.

Tijdens de ceremonie zullen de erepromotoren de eredoctoraten uitreiken en een laudatio (lofrede) voor de ontvangers uitspreken.
