Update 28 January 2020: TU Delft following instructions from authorities
As previously communicated, there has been an outbreak of a new virus in China, the Corona virus, since the beginning of December 2019. Measures have been taken to prevent contamination, such as a travel ban in the Hubei province.
If you have planned a trip to or are currently in China, keep an eye on this website (in Dutch) and follow the advice of the National Coordination Centre for Travellers (in Dutch) and the World Health Organisation (in English).
At this moment we would advise you not to travel to China. If you have recently been to China, phone your family doctor and follow any medical advice; also report this to your supervisor or study advisor.
Generally speaking, it is always advisable to maintain personal hygiene and to wash your hands often and properly. More information can also be found on the website of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).
TU Delft will actively keep track of the news, follow instructions from health authorities and make the necessary preparations behind the scenes.
We will keep you informed as necessary; check the latest student news for updates.
