TU Delft #19 in ‘Best Engineering & Technology University of the World’ rankings

TU Delft claims the 19th position in the worldwide THE Engineering & Technology rankings. Every year the Times Higher Education compares 800 universities worldwide on different scientific disciplines, like Engineering and Technology. The THE ranking compares universities worldwide by looking at different indicators. The performance indicators are grouped into five areas:

  • Teaching (the learning environment)
  • Research (volume, income and reputation)
  • Citations (research influence)
  • International outlook (staff, students and research)
  • Industry income (knowledge transfer).

TU Delft claims the 65th spot in the general THE ranking. This is a climb of 6 positions compared to last year. The last five years TU Delft made their way up, starting from the position 151 in 2010.
