What would you teach international freshers?
Are you a fun, outgoing and responsible person who would like to help the new international students during their first weeks in Delft? Want to be able to say ‘cheers!’in more than 10 languages, or make a proper paella? Well, then we have an opportunity worth considering.
Each summer, around 1500 students are welcomed at the TU Delft during the Introduction Programme. This takes two weeks (20 August – 2 September) and is meant to get the international students acquainted with the academic culture of TU Delft, the city of Delft and The Netherlands in general. Every year 60 TU Delft students are selected and trained to become fun and responsible coaches who guide and support the new students during the Introduction Programme. And that’s where you come in: because they are recruiting now. Next to great fun, being a coach can be viewed as a 2 week job, since you get decent pay for the entire two weeks.
For more information and application please go to http://www.inwijs.nl/page/introductionprogramme2016/. Be quick, because the deadline is the March 13th (this Sunday).
The job includes three compulsory meetings in April, May and August, where you will be trained as a mentor. The organisation looks for both international and national students, spread over all educational programmes and student societies. You must be social, skilled in English and fully available during the two weeks of the Introduction Programme and the three training days before.
