Judith Bosboom TU Delft Lecturer of the Year 2016
Each year, students at TU Delft elect the best lecturer of their faculty. These lecturers are then nominated for the title Best Lecturer TU Delft. A jury consisting of members of the Executive Board, the Student Council, the Study Associations Council and previous winners judges each of the nominees and chooses the winner of this TU Delft award by students.
At the Education Day on 14 December, Judith Bosboom was elected Lecturer of the Year 2016. She was nominated by the ‘practische studie’ study association.
‘Judith teaches in the course Coastal Dynamics 1. This is an important but complex and challenging subject for students. Despite the difficult material, Judith manages to guide more than 75% of her students successfully through the course. She achieves this by continuously innovating and improving the course shape, -material and her own teaching skills.
The jury is highly impressed with Judith’s intelligent innovation process and varied way of presenting study material. Her personal attention for her students, combined with her contributions to educational projects on a faculty level make her our Best Lecturer TU Delft 2016.’
