We all do our bit during National Climate Week

From 28 October to 5 November it is National Climate Week, and the slogan is ‘we all do our bit’ (iedereen doet wat). As a climate university, we take part wholeheartedly, all the more because focusing on the climate is more urgent than ever. On 28 October, NPO broadcasts the Grote Klimaatkwis (the big climate quiz) 2021, which was recorded on the campus. Innovations such as the Flying-V, Tiler and the Lettuce Wall will be on display In the hall of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. You can take part in a Zoom discussion on open data and software for tackling the climate crisis on 5 November, or you can book a special tour to see what action we are already taking on the campus. For more information, keep an eye on TU Delft’s social media channels for other activities.

COP26 Climate Drinks
With the 26th international climate summit just around the corner, we will also be continuing after 5 November: on 9 November you are welcome at the COP26 Climate Drinks, in the Co-Creation Centre of The Green Village, to hear more about the climate plans for the campus. During the Climate Drinks, where sustainable food and beverage will be served, we want to present our action plans to the entire community.

Programme drinks
At 17:30, Vice-Rector Rob Mudde will kick off with TU Delft’s climate ambitions and Pro-Vice-Rector Herman Russchenberg will introduce the Climate Action Programme. Sustainability Coordinator Andy van den Dobbelsteen will present the action plan for the university, followed by Jaco van Noppen, director of Campus & Real Estate, who will present the upcoming projects on the campus.

Different student and university organisations will be present to show their initiatives. There will be ample opportunity to discuss your ideas with colleagues and fellow students.

Feel welcome to join!

The Co-Creation Centre opens 16:00, and the Climate Drinks will be finished at 19:00.
