All of TU Delft’s campus has been a no-smoking area as of 1 August 2020. This means that smoking is banned throughout the campus. The ban is valid 24/7 and also applies to e-cigarettes. The smoking ban applies to all teaching sites in the Netherlands. This nationwide ban represents another step towards a smoke-free generation. The smoking ban is in line with broader TU Delft policy aiming to create a healthy work and study environment.

TU Delft is een rookvrije campus
De TU Delft-campus is sinds 1 augustus 2020 een rookvrije campus. Dat betekent dat er niet gerookt mag worden op de campus. Het verbod geldt 7 dagen per week, 24 uur per dag en is ook van toepassing op de e-sigaret. Het rookverbod geldt voor alle onderwijsterreinen in Nederland. Het is een landelijk verbod en een volgende stap op weg naar een rookvrije generatie. Het rookverbod past goed binnen het bredere beleid van de TU Delft voor een gezonde werk- en studie-omgeving.

As previously communicated, wearing a face mask is mandatory within the education buildings when walking around. At a fixed seat, the face mask can be taken off.

Per building the corona guidelines can differ. So check this out carefully before entering a building.

Mondkapjesplicht bij de TU Delft!

Zoals eerder is medegedeeld is het dragen van een mondkapje verplicht binnen de onderwijsgebouwen als je rondloopt. Op een vaste zitplaats kan het mondkapje af.

Per gebouw kunnen de coronarichtlijnen verschillen. Kijk hier dus goed naar voordat je een gebouw ingaat.

Are you not (fully) vaccinated yet?  
You can get your vaccination at campus. The Municipal Health Services (GGD Haaglanden) will be present at X (sports and culture centre) on Tuesday 31 August, Thursday 2, Wednesday 8 and on Friday 10 September from 08:30-15:30 with a temporary vaccination location. Students and employees (and anyone who wants to) can get vaccinated against corona in the sports hall, without an appointment, without citizen service number (BSN) and if desired without identification. The Municipal Health Services will be present with vaccines from Janssen and BioNTech/Pfizer. You can also come here for questions, for example if you have already had your first vaccination abroad or if you want other additional information. 
 
Permanent vaccination location 
You can also go to the existing GGD vaccination location at the Mozartlaan 664 in Delft. Here, anyone can come daily between 9:00 and 14:00 for vaccination, without appointment and if desired without identification, without a citizen service number. 
 
Do you have symptoms of the coronavirus? Get tested on campus!  
Do you have mild symptoms, such as rhinitis, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, mild cough or elevation of in body temperature up to 38 degrees Fahrenheit? And/or do you have a sudden loss of smell or taste? Get tested and stay home until the test results are known. The coming weeks the Municipal Health Services (GGD) will make a test bus available which will be present on the forecourt at X (sports and cultural centre) on Tuesday 31 August, Thursday 2, Wednesday 8 and on Friday 10 September from 08:30-15:30 where you can go without an appointment. 
 
Fixed test location 
Of course, you can also get tested at any other existing test location of the Municipal Health Services. In Delft you can find a GGD test location at the Bieslandsekade 68. This location facilitates an open walk-in for students (from 08.30-16.30 hrs).

Laat je vaccineren en/of testen op de campus! 

Ben je nog niet (volledig) gevaccineerd?
Om het vaccineren zo gemakkelijk mogelijk te maken, is de GGD Haaglanden op dinsdag 31 augustus, donderdag 2, woensdag 8 en vrijdag 10 september aanwezig bij X (sport- en cultuurcentrum) van 08:30-15:30 uur met een tijdelijke vaccinatielocatie. Studenten en medewerkers (en ieder die dat wil) kunnen zich in de sporthal laten vaccineren tegen corona, zonder afspraak, zonder BSN en desgewenst zonder identificatie. De GGD is aanwezig met vaccins van Janssen en BioNTech/Pfizer. Je kan hier ook terecht voor vragen als je bijvoorbeeld in het buitenland al een eerste vaccinatie hebt gehad of als je andere aanvullende informatie wil.  
 
Vaste vaccinatielocatie 
Je kan ook terecht bij de bestaande GGD-vaccinatielocatie aan de Mozartlaan 664 in Delft. Hier kan iedereen dagelijks tussen 9.00 en 14.00 uur, zonder afspraak en desgewenst zonder identificatie, zonder BSN, voor vaccinatie terecht. 
 
Heb je coronaklachten? Laat je testen op de campus! 
Heb je milde klachten, zoals neusverkoudheid, loopneus, niezen, keelpijn, lichte hoest of verhoging tot 38 graden Celsius? En/of heb je plotseling verlies van reuk of smaak? Laat je testen en blijf thuis tot de uitslag bekend is. De komende weken stelt de GGD een testbus beschikbaar die aanwezig is op het voorplein bij X (sport- en cultuurcentrum) op dinsdag 31 augustus, donderdag 2, woensdag 8 en vrijdag 10 september van 08:30-15:30 uur waar je terecht kan zonder afspraak. 
 
Vaste testlocatie 
Uiteraard kun je je ook laten testen op iedere andere bestaande testlocatie van de GGD. In Delft vind je een GGD-testlocatie aan de Bieslandsekade 68. Deze locatie faciliteert voor studenten een open inloop (van 08.30-16.30 uur).

Herinnering voor nieuwe TU Delft studenten

Vergeet niet om je Campuskaart op te halen! Je ontvangt een e-mail zodra jouw Campuskaart klaar is om opgehaald te worden.

Je hebt de Campuskaart nodig voor:
• Toegang tot gebouwen
• Examens
• Gebruik van printfaciliteiten
• Gebruik van een kluis
• Lenen van boeken in de bibliotheek

The press conference of Friday 13 August has no major consequences for X.

This means we can start the academic year with a more or less full programme! However, the existing safety measures continue to apply. This means you do not have to wear a face mask at X, but you should practise 1.5-metre social distancing. Only during team sports and contact sports may you disregard the 1.5-metre rule. Also, the maximum number of people per room remains applicable.

De persconferentie van vrijdag 13 augustus heeft geen grote gevolgen voor X. Dit betekent dat we het academische jaar kunnen starten met een nagenoeg volledig programma! Wel blijven de bestaande veiligheidsmaatregelen van kracht. Dat betekent dat je bij X géén mondkapje hoeft te dragen maar wel 1,5 meter afstand dient te houden. Alleen bij alle team- en contactsporten mag je tijdens de activiteit de 1,5 meter afstand loslaten. Ook geldt in veel binnenruimtes nog een maximaal aantal personen.

To keep the campus livable, Parkmanagement collects bicycle wrecks twice a year. This was not carried out during the past corona year, as the owners were difficult to reach. In order to have sufficient capacity for bicycle racks at the start of the academic year, bicycle wrecks will be collected shortly.

On 12 July the bicycle wrecks were labelled with a request to the owner to remove the bicycle. In the week of 23 August the bicycle wrecks will be collected and moved to a depot next to the Döner Company (situated at Mekelweg). There they will be kept locked up. The owner can collect his or her bicycle from Monday 23 August to Friday 1 October. Collection is possible by appointment; on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, between 08.00 and 12.00 hours. Please call Parkmanagement beforehand via 06-14319073, so that someone can come to the depot to grant access.

Verwijderen fietswrakken
Om de campus leefbaar te houden verzamelt Parkmanagement tweemaal per jaar fietswrakken in. In het afgelopen coronajaar is dit niet gedaan, omdat eigenaren moeilijk te bereiken waren. Om genoeg plekken in de fietsenrekken te hebben bij de start van het academisch jaar worden fietswrakken binnenkort verzameld.

Op 12 juli zijn de fietswrakken voorzien van een label met het verzoek aan de eigenaar om de fiets te verwijderen. In de week van 23 augustus worden de wrakken ingezameld en naar een depot naast de Döner Company (aan de Mekelweg) verplaatst. Daar staan ze op slot. De eigenaar kan vanaf maandag 23 augustus tot en met vrijdag 1 oktober zijn of haar fiets ophalen. Afhalen kan op afspraak; op maandag, dinsdag, donderdag en vrijdag, tussen 08.00 en 12.00 uur. Graag eerst bellen met Parkmanagement via 06-14319073, zodat iemand naar het depot kan gaan om toegang te verlenen.
