16 October Green Campus: Symposium Sustainability
Wat zijn de mogelijkheden voor het realiseren van een duurzame campus? Bezoek de inspirerende lezingen van dit symposium en hoor wat er kan worden gedaan en welke visie de TU Delft hierop heeft. Na de lezing kun je je ideeën delen in een workshop en een bezoek brengen aan de Groene Markt, waar je kennis kunt maken met de studenten die betrokken zijn bij de ‘Sustainability Community’ én waar verschillende ecologische snacks te proeven zijn.

Meet the experts at IBM’s Master the Mainframe Contest
In the Fall semester of 2014, IBM is running its annual Master the Mainframe Contest for University College students across Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.
No experience with Mainframes is necessary. In fact, the contest is designed for students with little or no Mainframe experience, with increasing difficulty as the contest progresses. Students just need to bring drive, curiosity and enthusiasm!

Benieuwd naar wat je misschien over 10 jaar draagt? Kom kijken naar de tentoonstelling TE[CH]X(T)ILES in de hal van TU Delft Library: een catwalk met kleding van de toekomst.
Nieuwe technologieën verwerkt in kleding
Steeds meer nieuwe technologieën worden uitgevonden die gebruikt kunnen worden in kleding. Hierdoor wordt van alles mogelijk. Tien ontwerpers geven hun visie op kleding van de toekomst.
De tentoonstelling is te zien in de hal van TU Delft Library en zal staan van 25 september t/m 9 november 2014. TE[CH]X(T)ILES is een productie van MOTI (Museum of the Image).

New technologies incorporated in clothing
More and more new technologies are being developed that can be used in clothing, opening up a whole new realm of possibilities. Ten designers present their vision for the fashion of the future.
The exhibition can be seen in the hall of the TU Delft Library from 25 September to 9 November 2014. TE[CH]X(T)ILES is a production of MOTI (Museum of the Image).

From 6-12 October, the second edition of the European Biotech Week will take place. Biotech Associations, academic and government institutions, science museums, media and companies organize events across Europe. In the Netherlands, DSM together with Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), The Bioprocess Pilot Facility – BPF, Corbion, BE-Basic and HollandBio have joined forces to organize and host a webinar entitled ‘Biotechnology and Agricultural residues’.
The event will be broadcasted live via HollandBio’s website. If you register your email address here, you will receive a reminder before the start of the webinar.
Versterk het TU Delft Solar Boat Team! / Join TU Delft Solar Boat Team!
Het TU Delft Solar Boat Team is op zoek naar enthousiaste studenten die ons willen helpen met het optimaliseren van de huidige boot. Met deze zonneboot op draagvleugels hebben we afgelopen zomer de 4e plaats behaald in de World Cup For Solar Powered Boats. We hebben echter nog niet alles wat mogelijk is uit de boot gehaald. De volledige kracht van het draagvleugelconcept willen we graag demonstreren tijdens het NK zonnebootracen in mei aankomend jaar! Dit is alleen mogelijk met jouw hulp, want we zijn op zoek naar een full-time management (Team Manager, Technical Manager, Promotion & Operations).

TU Delft Solar Boat Team is looking for enthusiastic students who like to help us to optimize the current boat. With this solar powered hydrofoil we achieved a 4th place in the World Cup for Solar Powered Boats. However, we have not yet used the full potential of the boat. We would like to demonstrate the full power of the hydrofoil concept during the National Championship for solar boats next year in May! This is only possible with you help because we are looking for a full-time management team (Team Manager, Technical Manager, Promotion & Operations).

Automatisch je studieresultaten ontvangen
Vanaf 26 september is er, op verzoek van de studentenraad, een nieuwe tool beschikbaar in OSIRIS. Het is dan mogelijk om in https://e-service.tudelft.nl/ aan te geven of je een automatisch bericht wenst te ontvangen als er een nieuw studieresultaat wordt geregistreerd in OSIRIS.
De functionaliteit kan je in E-service vinden in het (nieuwe) kader Studentvoorkeuren bijna onderaan de pagina. Vink daar je keuze aan en leg deze vast met Wijziging opslaan.

Receive automatic notifications about your study results
From 26 September, a new tool will be available in OSIRIS following a request by the Student Council. It will be possible to indicate in https://e-service.tudelft.nl/ whether you would like to receive automatic notification whenever you have had a new study result registered in OSIRIS.
You can find the functionality in E-service in the new ‘Student Preferences’ section near the bottom of the page. Check your choice and then click on Save Changes.

Interested to hear idea’s worth spreading? Well you are in luck! The TEDxDelft Award is on its way!
The TEDxDelft Award is an award which provides students and PHD candidates a platform where they can share their idea. The award is not only a onetime event, but a complete track! Within this track there are several workshops which are meant to help participants develop their idea and their pitching skills! In the final, the different pitches will compete for the award and a wildcard giving the winner the chance to spread his/her idea at TEDxDelft 2015! An event with an audience of over a thousand people! Curious? Check out our facebook for more information and previous events!
