On Wednesday 10 April the first meeting on social safety at TU Delft will take place. We would like to hear what you think should be done to make TU Delft a more socially safe place to work and study. So please come along to one of the meetings on 10, 15 and 16 April in the Aula (Auditorium). Registration is possible, but if you just want to drop in, you are also welcome.

Social safety is a sensitive topic and we want everyone to feel safe to speak out. Therefore, we will keep what is discussed at these meetings strictly confidential and we trust participants to do the same.

Op woensdag 10 april is de eerste bijeenkomst over sociale veiligheid bij TU Delft. Are you a BSc student at TU Delft and up for a challenge? Want to crack the surface and view our campus from a new perspective?

Working in teams of three, you will have one hour to solve a series of challenges on the TU Delft campus relating to geothermal energy, critical raw materials, weather patterns and Earth observation data. You will explore questions such as:

• How will thermal energy heat our campus?
• Is our campus ground drifting apart?
• Are our concrete buildings as tough as rock?
• What’s the highest mountain in the Mekel Park?
• Why is there so much wind in front of EWI?

No previous knowledge is required.

An ageing population, climate change, staff shortages, lifestyle-related diseases: our healthcare system is under growing pressure. At the same time, Dutch healthcare accounts for 7% (more than the aviation industry!) of our national CO2 emissions. That must change, but how?

To solve these issues, we need transdisciplinary collaboration. Convergence (a collaboration between TU Delft, Erasmus MC and Erasmus University Rotterdam) is working on a new Transdisciplinary Research Master Sustainable Health. Your input is essential to make this master a success!

Brainstorm voor studenten: transdisciplinaire research master Sustainable Health

Vergrijzing, klimaatverandering, personeelstekorten, leefstijl-gerelateerde ziekten: onze gezondheidszorg staat onder steeds hogere druk. Tegelijkertijd draagt de zorg met 7% van de Nederlandse CO2-uitstoot (meer dan de luchtvaart!) ook bij aan klimaatverandering. Dat kan anders, maar hoe?

Om deze problemen op te lossen, is vergaande en brede transdisciplinaire samenwerking nodig. Convergence (het samenwerkingsverband van de TU Delft, Erasmus MC en Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam) is daarom een nieuwe Transdisciplinaire Research Master Sustainable Health aan het ontwikkelen. Daarvoor is jouw input als student essentieel!

Kom daarom brainstormen met studenten vanuit allerlei studierichtingen (medisch, technisch, ecologisch, bestuurskundig, sociaal, etc.) over jouw ideeën voor het nieuwe onderwijs over transdisciplinary sustainable health! As TU Delft, we are faced with the task of making the campus a more socially safe place. Following the Education Inspectorate’s report, we are drawing up an improvement plan to provide everyone with a socially safe working and learning environment where we treat each other with respect. To help us develop this plan, we are currently looking for ideas in a number of ways.

We are interested in your views on what should change and how best to go about doing this. To this end, we are organising four meetings, which were also announced in the Executive Board message of 20 March. All staff, students and alumni are welcome to attend one or more of the sessions in the Aula’s auditorium.

Dates
1. Wednesday 10 April 10.00-12.00 (doors open 09.45)
This meeting will be held entirely in English.

2. Monday 15 April 12.30-14.30 (doors open 12.15).
This meeting will be entirely in Dutch.

3. Monday 15 April 16.00-18.00 (with the Supervisory Board; doors open 15.45).
The Supervisory Board will be present at this meeting. This meeting will be held in English. The plenary sessions will be translated into Dutch. The language of the breakout groups will depend on the language of the group participants.

​​​​​​4. Tuesday 16 April 12.30 – 14.30 (with the Executive Board; doors open 12.15).
The Executive Board will be present at this meeting. The meeting will be held in Dutch. The plenary sessions will be translated into English. The language of the breakout groups will depend on the language of the group participants.

The programme is the same for each session. First, there will be an opening plenary session. Then your plans and ideas will be collected using Mentimeter. Next, there will be time to discuss these plans and ideas in smaller groups. Finally, the meeting will be concluded in plenary.

Deel jouw ideeën ter verbetering van de sociale veiligheid bij TU Delft

Als TU Delft staan we voor de opgave om de campus sociaal veiliger te maken. Naar aanleiding van het rapport van de Inspectie van het Onderwijs maken we een verbeterplan om iedereen een sociaal veilige werk- en studieomgeving te kunnen bieden, waar we respectvol met elkaar omgaan. Voor het opstellen van dit plan zijn we momenteel op verschillende manieren op zoek naar ideeën.

Graag horen we wat jij denkt dat er moet veranderen en hoe dat het beste kan. Daarvoor organiseren we vier bijeenkomsten, die ook al werden aankondig in het CvB-bericht van 20 maart. Iedere medewerker, student en alumnus is van harte welkom bij één of meer van de bijeenkomsten in het Auditorium van de Aula.

Deze bijeenkomst is volledig in het Engels.

Het programma is voor iedere bijeenkomst gelijk. Eerst is er een plenaire opening. Vervolgens worden jullie plannen en ideeën opgehaald via het gebruik van Mentimeter. Daarna is er ruimte om in kleinere groepen door te praten over die plannen en ideeën. De bijeenkomst wordt vervolgens plenair afgesloten.

Digitale ideeënbus                                                             
Ben je niet aanwezig bij een bijeenkomst, maar wil je wel je ideeën delen? Dat kan via de digitale ideeënbus. Alle plannen en ideeën worden meegenomen als input bij het schrijven van het verbeterplan.

Nogmaals: jouw mening en jouw stem is onmisbaar in het verbeterproces, dus we horen graag van je.

During the exam period TU Delft facilitates extra opening hours to study at the Fellowship. The Library, Echo and Pulse are also available with regular opening hours from 08:00AM to 00:00AM, also in the weekends. Cafes also have extended opening hours so you don’t have to go hungry while you study.

XXL openingstijden studiefaciliteiten tijdens de tentamenperiode

Tijdens de tentamenperiode faciliteert de TU Delft extra openingstijden om te studeren bij de Fellowship. De Bibliotheek, Echo en Pulse zijn ook beschikbaar met reguliere openingstijden van 08:00 uur tot 00:00 uur, ook in het weekend. Ook de horeca heeft verruimde openingstijden zodat je geen honger hoeft te hebben tijden het studeren.

Have you completed the final part of your study?

Please be aware that you need to send a request to terminate your enrolment through Studielink as it will not be done automatically. When you terminate your enrolment at TU Delft, you are entitled to a refund of one twelfth of the annual tuition fee for each month of the academic year in which you are no longer enrolled, with the exception of termination as from July and August.

Enrolment termination with retroactive effect is not possible.

Will you be taking a minor in academic year 2024-2025 in the first semester of your third bachelor year? With a minor programme you will have the opportunity to specialise in your own field or broaden your academic knowledge. Your minor programme can be thematic (a programme of modules that allows you to broaden or deepen on a specific theme) or individually composed. Thanks to our collaboration with Leiden University and Erasmus University Rotterdam, you can also choose for a thematic minor at one of these partner universities, or a joint minor.

How to find a minor?
Find the complete minor offering on www.eduxchange.nl. Before you can register for a minor you need to get an eduID, which can be easily made via www.eduID.nl. On the website tudelft.nl/minor, you can find useful information to help you select a minor that suits your needs and interest.

Registration and admission procedure for the thematic minors 2024-2025
The registration periods for the minor will take place in different rounds: a registration period for only the selection minors* and registration period for non-selection minors.
*once you have been selected and placed within a selection minor you cannot deregister.

From March 20 to June 26 (2024) there will be sexual health (Sense) walk-in consultations in the ESA building, every Wednesday from 9.00 to 12.00. Here you can ask all your questions about your sexual health, contraceptives, and STI-testing. The consultation hours are organized by the Centre for Sexual Health, GGD Haaglanden.

Inloopspreekuren seksuele gezondheid

Van 20 maart tot 26 juni (2024) zijn er inloopspreekuren seksuele gezondheid (Sense) in het ESA-gebouw, elke woensdag van 9.00 tot 12.00 uur. Hier kun je terecht met al je vragen over seksuele gezondheid, voorbehoedsmiddelen en soa-testen. De spreekuren worden georganiseerd door het Centrum Seksuele Gezondheid, GGD Haaglanden.

TU Delf catering operator Appèl has launched the new FoodCity app. With this app, you earn points when you make a healthy choice. The products for which you get points can be recognised by the “Good Healthy” stickers. The app also functions as a platform where you can share your opinion on the catering offer. All FoodCity locations on campus now work with the app.

Using the FoodCity app is simple:

1. Download the app on your smartphone and create an account.
2. Show your loyalty card, displayed in the app, at checkout.
3. Earn 10 points for every euro spent on healthy products.
4. Redeem your earned points for a coupon of your choice, where you can get a free or discounted product.

Appèl, cateraar van TU Delft, heeft de nieuwe FoodCity app gelanceerd. Met deze app verdien je punten wanneer je een gezonde keuze maakt. De producten waar je punten voor krijgt, zijn te herkennen aan de “Good Healthy” sticker. Daarbij fungeert de app als een platform waarop je je mening kunt delen over het horeca-aanbod. Alle FoodCity locaties op de campus werken nu met de app.

Het gebruik van de FoodCity app is eenvoudig:
